18-acre Italian-Style Mountain Villa: Talus Rock Retreat in Sandpoint, Idaho

Escape to Talus Rock Retreat for your memory-making getaway. This peaceful villa is situated on a stunning 18-acre wilderness playground only one mile from downtown Sandpoint, Idaho, though you'll feel a world away in this hidden gem! We're the perfect launchpad for exploring the inland empire of northern Idaho. Adventure abounds around the grandeur of Lake Pend Oreille, the deepest lake in Idaho. We're a short drive to Schweitzer Mountain for hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and more exciting alpine excursions too. Another short drive will land you at Silverwood Amusement Park. Stay in town for sightseeing around Sandpoint, as it's a great town for foodies with our excellent cadre of expert chefs!

Each of the six-bedroom ensuites is unique! Five have King-size beds, and the sixth is in the mother-in-law suite that enjoys a full kitchen, a sitting area, and a Queen-size bed. Though six individuals or couples nestle in flawlessly, the villa will sleep up to 24 people creatively with pull-outs, roll-aways, and a couple of tuck-away twin lofts our adolescent guests are sure to claim in two of the rooms, as well as a bunk bed and futon in our Theatre Room.

Indulge yourself with a soak in our outdoor hot tub in the sunshine, rain, or snow. Ahhh. Relax in the infrared sauna. In the steamy summer heat, cool off in our diminutive dipping pool. Wander the beautifully landscaped grounds and the nature trail wrapping itself around the grounds like a woodland hug with whimsy along the way. Tantalize your tastebuds at our "Honor Bar" for midnight munchie-style snacks and a thoughtfully curated selection of wine, beer, and canned cocktails. The two Great Rooms have open floor plans, each including a gourmet kitchen with opportunities to create culinary masterpieces! It's all a little decadent, but you know you're worth it!
