Home on the Range

Experience Home on the Range, a fantastic home with a vintage vibe! Home on the Range has quite the history: The property was homesteaded by Native American Indians that lived in Yosemite Valley. At the turn of the century, the U.S. Calvary relocated them to this area. Home on the Range has held many reunions for those native people. Over the years, the property has been home to cattle and wildlife. You will likely see them wandering around during your stay.

Fantastic attractions are nearby to fuel your getaway with adventure. The south gate of Yosemite is 24 miles away, Mariposa is 19 miles away, and Bass Lake is only 15 miles away, where you can rent boats, paddleboards, kayaks, and enjoy your day on the water. Enjoy the peaceful area, where you can witness spectacular and world-famous California sunsets while sipping your favorite beverage.

Upon entry, you'll be met with a bright interior and a warm feeling of welcome throughout the two-bedroom space. Relax and make yourself at home by resting on the plush furniture, streaming your favorite movies on the large TV, or curling up with a good book by the wood-burning stove. Hobby chefs will love preparing grand meals and on-the-go snacks in the unique kitchen equipped with all the cupboard room you'll ever need. A comfortable night's rest awaits with soft beds available and both bedrooms boasting lovely en suite bathrooms. If you need to stay connected, a dedicated workspace with a desk and chair is provided for remote work.

Nice location and house, but no amenities
The house is located on a very scenic large price of land with a lake. The house was clean and tidy. The interior is aesthetically good, but the door and cabinet fixtures were noisy and not maintained. There was a coffee machine in the kitchen but no coffee pods. No condiments either. Plenty of pots and pans though. There is no air conditioning and it can get pretty hot during the day.
