Used this as a place to sleep between my visits to Yosemite, its a great place to enjoy some nature but is also close enough to the town that you can get all your needs within a 10 minute drive
Very comfortable place for the two of us for the weekend. Kitchen was stocked and everything was clean and ready when we arrived. Thank you for a lovely weekend!
This place was perfectly located near Yosemite, in a quiet and peaceful area. Very clean and had the necessary amenities for our stay. We will definitely be back!
The Oak Suite is a charming and peaceful place to stay. The front and side porches made it very homey and provided privacy. Brenda provided a binder full of helpful information and was easily accessible. We would stay here again if ever back in this area!
Thank you for our accommodations. The cabin is fairly musty I suggest an automatic air freshener. Additionally maybe a deck of cards and a few board games would be nice.
Great little cabin and loved almost everything about it and location. The only small cons to mention are I would recommend replacing the knives with a better quality set (dull and flimsy) and seems like the coffee pot did not match the maker so it does not make any unless you are manually adjusting it to get it to drip.
This duplex cabin is just as described and more. There were extra toiletries in case someone forgot them. There was all’s coffee and the needed items to make batches. Plenty of dishes and utensils. Even ice cube trays!
A friend and I traveled through this area for two nights to visit Yosemite. We absolutely loved the cabin, It was super clean and exactly as described. It has everything we would have needed...even make up wipes which we had forgotten! Brenda was so quick to respond to any questions we had and was very helpful. Location was awesome. Far enough out that you felt some solitude but close enough to run into town to grab food, hit up the brewery or grab anything you may have forgotten. Yosemite and Bass Lake were not too far away. We wouldn't have changed a thing!
Great stay! Comfy bed, great communication, cute patio!
It was myself and my best friend staying in the Oak suite. We had a lovely time :) my favorite parts was the cute back yard, the overall decor, the cleanliness and the cozy bed! I relaxed so good on the hammock. And the spot is perfect for star gazing. It’s far enough for the national park it’s pretty mellow and the drive to the park is beautiful! I would for sure stay here again!
Just a heads up, no stove or oven in the cabin. There is a multi use BBQ that we used for cooking. Also, you can see/ hear the main road from the cabins porch, it didn’t bug us too much and it isn’t a very busy road but was expecting not so much road noise.
Thanks again for such a nice stay :)
The location was excellent. There was deer , grouse . blue birds and several other types of birds visiting the property. Manager was very friendly and most helpful . We would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.
Great place, easy to reach Yosemite national park from only around 1hr40min drive (not the closest but good value for money) Had everything you need there! Check in was so simple. Would recommend!
Perfect cabin for a couple. It's one room with the bed being partially separated from the living room by this bar like counter top. Quite area and fairly close to most of the places we went. My one complaint was the power going off at random times. Sometimes for less then a half hour other times it was several hours. Not sure if this was related to the fires that were burning in the area or what. But that was a lil annoying. This does not have a full kitchen but does have a nice grill with a side burner. We brought our Ninja air fryer to use as an oven when we needed it so cooking was a breeze. Over all a nice place for a single person or couples. I would probably stay here again.
We had a wonderful experience staying at the cabin. It’s very close to a town so you get easily get groceries and access a laundromat. There is wifi at the cabin so we were easily able to look up local destinations and places to visit. My husband and I were staying with the intention of visiting the sequoia National park and Yosemite National Park and the cabin was in a great location to access both.
The hosts were kind and prompt with communication, and even left a binder of useful information for the local area!
We had a great time visiting Yosemite park and nearby towns of Oakhurst and Mariposa. The region is amazingly beautiful and the house a wonderful place to wind down from all the visiting. The barbecue and outside deck were especially great.

About the host
Hosted by John & Brenda
Our Story We are a family owned and operated lodge. We opened the Sierra Mountain Lodge in May of 2005 as a Bed and Breakfast. At the time we had two young children and our goal was to be able to raise them, teach them a work ethic and make a living. For 10 years we did just that, opening our home up to travelers from around the world. We met so many amazing people and enjoyed every minute.
As with life, things change, the park became more and more popular. It became advisable for our guests to enter the park earlier in the morning to avoid traffic. After a couple years of this trend we found more and more of our guests were skipping breakfast to get an early start. So as with any business we evolved to meet our clients needs.
In 2013 we ended our breakfast service and lowered our rates. This allowed our guests to get up and out on their schedule and to choose breakfast from one of many great local eateries. The breakfast lobby became the Sierra Suite a truly unique space. We then added several private and community BBQ grilling stations around the lodge. These have become a guest favorite. After an amazing day in Yosemite, guests can come home, relax & grill under the stars.
We are still here enjoying our lives in the Sierra’s, we live an an adjacent acre, we give our guests total privacy but are always available to attend to any guests needs 🙂
Your hosts, John, Brenda, Ryan & Amelia Eppler.
