We are located 3 miles from Oakhurst, 11 miles from the south gate of Yosemite National Park, and 4 miles from popular Bass Lake. Perfect for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the city or just a stopover on the way to Yosemite.

Located on Lewis Creek at 3000' elevation offers cool summers and mild winters. Listen to the sound of the water from the year-around creek running through the rear of the property or enjoy sipping your evening wine watching the tranquil water flowing downstream. The quiet neighborhood has a private park just 1/2 block away with a waterfall and swimming hole great for children, either 2 or 4-legged, where they can safely experience nature. The accommodations are perfect for two. There is a large bathroom with a claw foot tub, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private patio with a BBQ. There are several restaurants in Oakhurst as well as dining at Bass Lake. You'll have complete access to Lewis Creek to enjoy during your leisure time. The house below is also a BnB. The two houses are completely separate from one another sharing nothing except the entrance to the driveway.

What a great place to stay! The cabin is cozy. Everything about it was so nice. The kitchen had everything we needed, the living area, although small, was perfect for the two of us. The bed was soooo comfortable and the bathroom was spacious!
The creek had water running through it. I didn't have a chance to take my dog "Cooper" in for a dip though.
Bass lake is less than a 10 minute drive away.
There were deer walking through!

Cottage was beautiful, with everything we needed. Bed was very comfortable! A great place to stay while we explored Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks. Felt like we were out in the forest, yet only a few minutes from the town of Oakhurst. Would definitely stay again if we return to the area!

Perfect home away from home

We wanted something out of the city/town yet close enough to all of the area attractions and this was the perfect spot with all of the amenities that you might need. The creek beside the cabin was an amazingly, awesome and beautiful plus. We highly recommend this cabin for your vacation getaway!

This place is really cute. The space has been appointed well. We found it easily with the information provided. We were greeted with delicious cookies and nice music playing. We had all that we needed to cook and bbq. The creek on the property is delightful!Parking was a little tight for a big truck but it did work.

Simply delightful!

We absolutely loved this darling cottage. It was perfect for the two of us. Host does an amazing job getting everything ready. We were greeted with flowers and delicious homemade cookies. We had to change the number of nights we visited and Katy and Luana were wonderful to deal with. It’s a gorgeous ride to Yosemite Valley from here but is a distance so be aware when planning.

Perfect little cottage

We had an amazing time at our stay. It was a perfect little cabin/cottage for 2 people. We specially loved the river out back and the sweet lady that met one of the days that happen to be the co-owner i think. She was very hospitable and even welcomed us with a plate of homemade cookies and ccandy. Thank you so much for a wondsrful experience on our first time to yosemite.

Great Stay

Location was very quiet and comfy. Inside was very clean and organized and it made you feel at home. Down the hill is a creek that was very fun to adventure and you can relax in it as well if you want. Overall, this is a location ill stay at again.

Beautiful and great location

The property had access to Lewis Creek which was fabulous, close to Yosemite park entrance. Entrance was close to Mariposa Grove, although Yosemite Falls was about an hour away, the drive through the park was amazing though so no complaints there. Will definitely stay there again.

Great location

The cabin was perfectly located for our trip to Bass Lake. Just a few minutes from the lake, Oakhurst and Yosemite in a quiet neighborhood with a private swimming hole. The owner and property manager were easy to reach and very responsive.

A lovely, charming little log cabin bungalow situated on a hill in a beautiful, quiet riverside community. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay - just a perfect place relax and recuperate after a long day of hiking in Yosemite. Of the many places I have stayed over the years on my hiking trips to the area this was by far my favorite. I will be back….

Lovely little cottage in gorgeous setting - Great Hosts!

Wonderful welcome with fresh flowers, homemade cookies, sparkling clean interior, and an amazing view. Great layout with a wall separating the sleeping area from the kitchen and living space - perfect for me, a night owl, who didn't want to disturb my husband, an early bird. :)It is quiet, serene, private, and within close proximity to Oakhurst if you need to pick up groceries, etc. I have to say, I was amazed at how well stocked the house was. I always bring my own backup cleaning supplies, kitchen essentials, backup towels and pillows, etc. I could have saved a lot of time packing!

Wow! What a gem of a spot. It’s quaint but has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is a proper size—not just a kitchenette—and the bathroom is spacious as well. Every little detail felt so thoughtful, making the whole place incredibly cozy.The bed and pillows… goodness, I can’t say enough. So, so comfortable—I especially loved the pillows. After a long hike, the bathroom was a treat with bath bombs, shampoo, shower gel, and a great variety of amenities ready for use.The location is wonderful too. We loved that it was close to town, yet felt tucked away in nature. The creek behind the house is beautiful—just don’t forget bug spray because the mosquitoes were out in full force. One magical touch was seeing deer at night before entering the property, which made it feel extra special.Our host, Kadi/Luana, was absolutely wonderful—so welcoming, attentive, and thoughtful in every way. You can really feel the care that went into making this place comfortable for guests.The only minor downside was the driveway; our car is a low-rider, and if you don’t angle it right, it can scrape the bottom. But honestly, that’s such a small thing compared to how amazing everything else was.Overall, this place exceeded expectations—I’d return in a heartbeat!

Fresh Mountain Air

Enjoyed stay, very close drive to the Giant Sequoia Trees and many trails to hike. Enjoyed the Anna hummingbirds coming up to the glass window in the kitchen in the morning for breakfast and at night for dinner. Also, incredible weather and beautiful stars to glaze up to over the Sierra rim.

Having lived in Oakhurst for 40 years I know the mountains are in my heart. I am proud to share this beautiful slice of nature with travelers in hopes they will remember their Yosemite vacation as a magical one.

Why they chose this property

The Cottage is conveniently located 1/2 mile off Highway 41. We are just 11 miles to the South Gate of Yosemite, 4 miles to the popular Bass Lake, and 3 miles to the town of Oakhurst. The Cottage is quaint, and private, in a quiet neighborhood where you will go to sleep listening to the sound of the creek in the backyard.

What makes this property unique

One of the best creekfront properties on Lewis Creek. Easy access to Yosemite Nat'l Park and Bass Lake as well as many wonderful places to hike with your furry kids. A private neighborhood park is located a 1/2 block away on the creek that has a beautiful swimming hole and waterfall.
