Welcome to Barefoot Cabin!
Come enjoy our modern, updated cabin in beautiful western N.C. The area is home to Mt. Mitchell, waterfalls, hiking trails, and more activities than you'll have time for. The area is secluded, safe, and quiet.
A large porch offers magnificent views, outdoor dining, or just rocking and relaxing. You will feel like you're staying in a tree house!
Two spacious bedrooms with king beds and two well stocked bathrooms are thoughtfully outfitted with our guest's comfort in mind.
Enjoy making meals in the well-equipped kitchen or just hanging out in the spacious living area with a cozy roaring fire at your command.
A rock firepit and plenty of seating offer a great way to wind down in the cool evenings. Stargazing is popular as the area is a designated 'Dark Sky Community'.
Should you want to venture out, Biltmore House & Asheville are nearby. For the nature lovers the local hiking trails and hidden waterfalls are easily accessible and unforgettable.
Our co-host lives on-site in the basement apt. It is a separate, private area not accessible through the cabin with no common spaces, but they are available if you need anything.

Burnsville and Environs Visit

We took in a festival in the park and downtown in Burnsville, shopped for used books, visited the woods and river at Carolina Hemlocks Campground, and did n nature photography. Enjoyed the fire pit and the large covered porch.

Beautiful and Accessible

The property is beautiful and an easy drive to downtown Burnsville. It had everything we needed to cook. We enjoyed sitting in the porch to eat and using the rocking chairs. It was also convenient to have access to washer/dryer. The check in process was very easy. We had a lovely time.

Perfect Getaway

The property is nestled away, quiet and private. The inside is homey and comfortable. The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans, making cooking easy. The host is wonderful and quick to respond to any messages. We loved our stay.

Weekend with my boys

We had an amazing time. We greatly enjoyed the entire stay. The only thing that threw me off was the fact their was people living downstairs. We had no idea until we pulled up. We thought we were in the wrong place. I have three you g boys. I felt so bad for them down there. I kept telling my kids to stop running. I really hope we didn't disturb them to much.
