Welcome to the Cowgirl Cabin at Whisper Canyon Ranch!
This cabin was the first structure on this land estimated to be nearly 100 years old. It was home to the original cowgirls of this land, two women who started the Rogue Valley Goat Dairy.

This cabin is an homage to all of the cowgirls that have lived and worked on this land to help create this ranch.

There is a front porch with two comfy chairs and a kit by horseshoe chair for some front porch sitting. We’ve recently had our back deck completely rebuilt. It has a table and chairs and an umbrella in the summer, a bbq and a super peaceful view out into the forest.

There is an open meadow next to the cabin with horseshoes, tether ball and croquet. You are welcome to wander our land and explore!

The cabin is completely private but is nearby our bunkhouse. There may be guests or other events happening at the time of your visit but our quiet time is 10pm.

The Neighborhood:
Life moves a little slower out here, just the way we like it.

The Cowgirl Cabin sits on 70 private acres of meadows, forest, and rolling hills, tucked away in the heart of Southern Oregon’s wild beauty.

Whether you’re here to kick back, explore, or soak up that good ol’ country air, you’ll find yourself surrounded by peace, quiet, and just the right amount of adventure.

Close to Everything, Yet a World Away – While the ranch feels like a hidden retreat, you’re still just a short drive from some seriously cool spots:

Lake Selmac (1.5 miles away) – Perfect for fishing, kayaking, or just lazing in the sun.

Illinois River (10 minutes away) – Crystal-clear waters, swimming holes, and a great place to cool off on a hot day.

Cave Junction (10 minutes away) – Small-town charm with local diners, quirky shops, and the famous Oregon Caves just up the road.

Grants Pass (35 minutes away) – A bigger town with restaurants, breweries, shopping, and rafting adventures on the Rogue River.

Redwood National Park (1 hour away) – Because no road trip is complete without standing beneath some giant, ancient trees.

The Oregon & California Coast (75 minutes away) – Wind in your hair, salty air, and some of the prettiest coastline you’ll ever see.

Peaceful & Private, With a Dash of Ranch Life – Whisper Canyon Ranch is all about quiet country living, but it’s not unusual to spot wildlife wandering through the meadows or hear an owl hootin’ in the night.

The Bunkhouse is nearby and may have guests or events, but rest assured, there’s plenty of space to spread out, relax, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

We loved staying in this cabin as part of our Oregon road trip. They thought of all the details we would need during our stay. Had a good time exploring the property and enjoyed playing horseshoes and tetherball with our kids.

Cute cabin

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The host was great! The ranch has several family oriented activities to do and is quiet when you want downtime. Location is close to the Oregon caves, the cat park, and not far from the red woods in Crescent City, CA.

Grandma’s Birthday

Whisper Canyon Ranch is the perfect place for a large get together! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the attention to detail and the cozy atmosphere of the ranch. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with all the essentials we needed to cook up a delicious meal for our group. Not only that, but there were also tons of games and activities to keep us entertained throughout our stay. Whether we were playing board games by the fireplace or exploring the beautiful grounds, there was never a dull moment. We can't wait to come back to Whisper Canyon Ranch for another getaway. It truly is a hidden gem and the perfect place for a relaxing and fun-filled vacation with friends and family. Highly recommend!
