About this property
The Lazy Pines Lodge w/ Pool Table & BBQ Grill
Summary:
Fun for the WHOLE family! This incredible cabin sleeps 16 comfortably, and is minutes from downtown Shaver and a quick drive to China Peak Ski Resort.
The Space:
Lazy Pines sits just below downtown Shaver Lake in the charming Sierra Pines community, only a few miles from the Lake. This modern log cabin offers six spacious bedrooms and four bathrooms, an entertainment-filled game room with a pool table, and an expansive deck perfect for barbecues. Inside, you’ll find a warm and inviting open-concept living space complete with a cozy fireplace and all the modern comforts you could want.
Tucked at the end of a quiet road, Lazy Pines gives you room to roam in the summer and transforms into a picturesque winter wonderland when the snow falls. Step out the back French doors to play in the snow, sled, or toboggan, or follow the walking trail right off the game room to Musick Creek and the Ockenden horseshoe pits and picnic area. With regularly plowed roads, access is easy year-round.
This three-story cabin offers plenty of space for everyone—kids, teens, and adults—to unwind and enjoy. The six bedrooms include a primary suite with a king bed and private bath, plus five queen beds, two twins, and two full-size beds, providing comfortable accommodations for your entire group.
*Garage fridge is not available.

5. Be a Good Neighbor: Don’t leave trash outside—use the dumpster provided. Park properly on the street and don’t block driveways or garages. Thank you!
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the whole cabin, deck space, and street parking. The garage is short, and could fit a small car or a couple motorcycles, but not an SUV or truck. Additional parking is located just a short walk away. Free WiFi, fresh linens and towels, fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer are available. Guests have access to the community which includes a dumpster for trash, walking trails, and plenty of space in the woods to explore, sled, hike, and rock climb. Guests may use their own streaming sites to watch TV, or use a provided Netflix account. Are you traveling for a church, company, or group retreat? There are other cabins within walking distance to this one available to rent in conjunction. Let us know if you're interested and we'll help you coordinate your group's stay.
The Neighborhood:
Located right off Tollhouse Road, this cabin is very easy to access in any season. The Sierra Pines neighborhood is a community of large log cabins with modern amenities built in recent years. This cabin is special because it sits at the end of the road, with no other cabin beyond it, providing gorgeous uninterrupted views and easy access to snow trails and adventure right from your back door. Just a few miles south downtown, you're out of the the hustle and bustle during busy weekends, but close enough enjoy restaurants, grocery stores, shops, and watersports with just a quick drive. Even though the roads are plowed, you will need tire chains in the winter.
Getting Around:
We suggest using your own vehicle to get around. 4 wheel drive and tire chains are strongly encouraged during winter months, and may be required by California Highway Patrol when there's snow in the forecast.
Other Things to Note:
* Garage fridge is not available (not operational).
