Discover Your Hide Away-Oceanside Oregon is located just 9 miles from Tillamook. It is the perfect laid back coastal community where you will enjoy all the local amenities for the perfect beach excursion. The best panoramic views from inside the house or enjoy a beverage on the deck while watching the beach activities, surfing, wind sailing, kiting, kayaking, and hang gliding. You won't want to hesitate to book your trip soon.
Guests please note we have a small set of stairs inside which gain access to the 2nd level. Please use caution and use the hand rail going up and down. All children must be supervised on the stairs, decks and hot tub areas. Please note if the hot tub is out of service due to maintenance issues the only adjustments on fees will be the $15.00 daily service fee. We make every attempt to keep the spa serviced and operational, but on occasion we have to close it due to repair turnaround. Please note checkout is at 11:00 AM. **2 ring outdoor cameras are located on the property for security. One aimed at passage garage door and one aimed at trail behind hot tub. We have a strict no pet policy, a $500. damage fee is placed up on any guest not adhering to this policy. Our family has Allergies to animals. We kindly ask if you have service dogs to rent another house.

Cozy getaway

Stayed here for a quick weekend getaway and could not have been happier, it was such a lovely little place and perfect location. Loved sitting on the deck watching the waves and listening to the ocean. Beautiful view of the sunset. Would definitely stay here again

We loved our stay. The house was clean and cozy. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. I had forgotten to bring games and was delighted to find plenty to choose from. The view was spectacular and it was easy access to the beach.

Relaxing birthday weekend

Our time here was so relaxing and memorable. We had everything we needed to stay cozy, use the hot tub, and make delicious meals. The view of the ocean was breathtaking and the entire property was clean and the instructions that were left were clear. We had a great time!

Edelweiss at Oceanside

My family had a wonderful stay at the Edelweiss Beach Chalet in Oceanside. It's a wonderful house. Had everything we wanted for the weekend...ocean view, hot tub, easy beach access, clean and comfortable.One thing to note, if you have trouble navigating stairs, this house is not for you. LOTS of stairs to get up to the house, and to and from the hot tub.

Fabulous Family Vacation

We arrived in time for King Tides and night crabbing, which was made even better with the stunning views from the living room and deck. The house is well appointed and we love the extras: cooking spices, fresh coffee beans, fun plates and glasses, and cozy pillows and blankets. The stairs are a little intimidating but well worth the climb. The beds are very comfortable and the towels are top notch. It was the perfect way to celebrate the new year.

Anytime beach house

Property is close to beach and close to all the activities in Oceanside. The house itself is well arranged for indoor activities as well. We enjoyed a family holiday here without a hitch.

Perfect coastal getaway

The house is so cozy and had everything you could think of and everything you might forget. Even better than described! It instantly felt like vacation from the wood burning stove and comfy furniture to the amazing beach views from almost every room and the best location close beach access and the village cafes. It was easily one of the best coast stays we’ve had in a long time.

Incredible view!

A gem in Oceanside. The house is awesome and so charming, well stocked with everything you could possibly need for your stay and very comfortable and clean. The deck is amazing and the views are stunning, we really enjoyed hanging out there. As expected there are lots of steps, and the stairs to the loft are pretty steep, but manageable. The house is a short walk to town and the beach and we spent hours searching for agates and exploring. There's a steep path to the beach to the left of the house up the street a bit, but most ideal is walking through town to the main beach access. Great location overall. We would come back here for sure! And did I mention the view? it's awesome!

Another Great Experience

This was the third time our family has stayed at Edelweiss, and like the previous two stays it exceeded expectations. The accomodations are better than advertised, and the pictures from the deck don't do justice to the real thing. And the beach is simply spectacular. We look forward to the next time....

Great Views, very unique property

The property was great. As many people have said, there are a lot exterior stairs, and the driveway is almost too steep to drive up, but that all contributes to the great ocean views once you finally reach the house. The steep stairs (inside the house) to the 2nd bedroom were challenging for our grandkids (2 & 4), and the Jack & Jill bathroom situation (with a shared shower) wasn't exactly ideal, but overall we loved the property.

Gorgeous location…fantastic home!

Our family escaped the smoke and fires from the Spokane area and had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful home! The location is fantastic… The kids had such a great time at the beach. There are so many amenities… We hardly needed to bring anything except for our food.

Awesome experience!

Our first time vacationing in the area was made even better by this awesome house! Our kids enjoyed being upstairs with their own TV while my wife and I enjoyed the quiet downstairs. The kitchen was fully stocked, the hot tub was hot and the beds were very comfortable. Shellie was very responsive and accommodating. Overall, the house had everything we needsd and more to allow us to relax and enjoy this beautiful area. Thank you!

Fantastic Home

This property is well loved and it shows! There were so many little details and amenities that it really enhanced our visit! We loved the fresh flowers, hot tub, deck, kitchen, etc. If we thought of anything we needed during our stay, we could find it in the house. This is one of the best appointed rentals I’ve stayed in! Wonderful stay in Edelweiss Chalet

The Edelweiss Chalet is a perfect place to stay to relax and unwind. The views from the deck are amazing. Great location to walk to nearby restaurants and the beach. It is also in range for Door Dash deliveries from Tillamook. My family thought this was the perfect place to experience Oregon.

Beautiful views

We enjoyed the property and the views were magnificent. Soaking in the hot tub was excellent while enjoying the evening views of the beach. One note, the property description really needs to include: not easily accessible due to the amount of stairs. The driveway is steep and narrow which requires skill. If you park at the guest parking (versus garage at the top), be ready to carry luggage up 2 dozen steps to get to the base of the house, and another two flights of stairs to the front door. Additionally, the rise and run of the stairs to the 2nd bedroom were not standard. We had to give the main bedroom up to our sister because she couldn't navigate the extremely steep stairs. The upstairs bedroom has no ventilation/no window screen which made it hot at night. Kids probably wouldn't mind :) The beach was a short drive and very pristine. Be aware, no fault of the property, there is no cell service in the town at all. The internet worked great at the house.

Gorgeous

My son, 14, and I stayed here after a couple days of football showcase/ camps in Eugene. My only regret is not staying longer. The house itself is lovely. Absolutely perfect for us to relax and take in the views. The hot tub was great for his sore muscles. I enjoyed going for runs on the beach. Having a couple of restaurants and coffee shop less than a 5 minute walk was very nice. Definitely recommend!!!

Absolutely perfect

Could not ask for a better experience. The house was even better than the pics showed. Fully stocked kitchen with EVERYTHING, which is great since we cooked for every meal. Incredible views, hot tub was clean. My only tip to the owner is on the printed instructions, everything was in all caps, including the WiFi password, which is actually just one caps letter but I figured it out by trial and error. It also didn’t match the WiFi on the VRBO app. Since we didn’t have service, it’s important to know the WiFi, but it worked so no sweat! I’m tech savvy but this is just a tip for future guests that might not be. Thank you! Would for sure book again

I was fortunate to grow up in the nearby community of Tillamook. My grandfather came from Switzerland in the early 1900's and founded one of the dairy farms in the area. I spent many days lounging on the beaches of Oceanside while I was growing up. My dream was to come back and purchase a home at the beach to feel young again. You will be mesmerized by the beauty of this coastal town. I know the history and area very well and love to share information and my chalet with guests. The photo is me in Switzerland where Grandpa was born.

I chose this beautiful property because I believe Oceanside Oregon is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world.

What makes this property unique

I love the drive down Hwy 6 to the town of Oceanside along the Wilson River from Portland. Many waterfalls and scenic spots. We settle in unpack and the magic takes over. You pretty much forget the rest of your other world. I love to cook so we venture to the locale fish markets and purchase crab, clams, and fish and really have a feast. I love sitting on the deck watching the boats, whales, sea lions, surfers while soaking up some sun.
