About this property

#4 of 4 Treetop River Cabin: 6 guests +Kayaks+ Fishing+ Fire pits: Honey's Nest

Honeys Nest: Perched amongst towering Cypress trees, our four river-front cabins with spacious decks offer stunning views of the river and hillside. The private dock is ideal for swimming, fishing, or launching kayaks and canoes for fun afternoon outings. Enjoy majestic sunsets with a glass of wine by the firepit and drink in the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country.
The property features a large floating deck which wraps around the majestic cypress tree and offers a cozy seating area and is shared by all guests.
There are two fire pits down by the river, and wood is provided, so bring marshmallows!
Several outdoor seating areas offer scenic views of the river and plenty of chairs and hammocks for relaxing. Lions Park is directly across the river with a playscape & basketball court.
Water sports are abundant, with a John boat & paddle boat available for guests, along with life jackets. Several single & double kayaks, a canoe, are also provided for guests use.
Fishing poles are not provided, but there are plenty of fish & Innertubes for floating, and clean river water for swimming!
Honey & Pop were our grandparents who owned Warner’s Boat Shop in San Marcos, Texas. In 1950’s they built the Glass Bottom Boats that still run in what use to be called Aquarena Springs at the head of the San Marcos River. This vision was their way of helping educate people about the importance of our rivers and keeping them clean. Their vision has touched thousands of lives and has brought lots of memories and awareness to the banks of the river.

Treetop River Cabins located on the banks of the Guadalupe River in Center Point, Texas. Sharing a common deck that wraps around a majestic Cypress Tree, all four cabins have a primary room with a queen bed, and a sleeping loft for 4 additional guests. For groups, you can sleep up to 24 guests. Full kitchen, 1.5 bath, AC, TV with streaming channels, fiber optic Internet, BBQ grills, and two outdoor fire pits. Perfect for family reunions, retreats, wedding parties, or a peaceful and quiet getaway.

Why they chose this property

The Upper Guadalupe River is a magical, peaceful, deep, slow- moving part of the river that fills my soul.
The cabins are located up from the Center Point dam, making the water calm and deep like a lake, which
is perfect for kayaking, swimming & fishing. The majestic Cypress Trees that line the banks are a true gift
from Mother Nature! Our rustic Treetop River Cabins offer a cozy place to relax, reconnect with friends
& family, and offer an option for outdoor adventure without ever leaving the property!

Downtown Center Point, which is less than ½ mile away, is a perfect location & community! It is in the
heart of the Texas Hill Country and named appropriately because as my Grandpa Speedy explained “If
you drew a map, it would look like a wagon wheel”, because it is right between Kerrville & Comfort,
Bandera & Fredericksburg, Boerne & Ingram, making it a great spot for day trips, bike rides, wine tours,
and motorcycle touring.

The small downtown of Center Point is filled with newly renovated historic buildings, offering fine
dining, local provisions, monthly festivities, great food, local wine, and music almost every weekend! It is
the perfect small town and the river is a bonus!

What makes this property unique

Each cabin is beautifully furnished with well-equipped kitchens,
cozy bedrooms with comfy bedding, and huge deck that joins all the cabins together, and it's nestled in
the branches of a giant cypress tree, high above the Upper Guadalupe River.

The common areas make it perfect for large groups, or family reunions, giving everyone their own
private cabin, with large gathering areas outside. The privacy of each cabin make them perfect for a
romantic weekend for two.
