This house is huge and fabulous - everything it advertises and more! Decor is lovely and to period and the rooms are spacious and welcoming. Beds are good and the kitchen is well stocked. Check in was simple and when we couldn't find trash bags, we messaged and they appeared on the back porch within an hour!! The neighborhood was classy with big beautiful homes and trees, and restaurants and shops were at various locations within 5 or 6 miles. We would have walked the neighborhood to enjoy it, but we booked an exceptionally rainy weekend. All things considered, this rental was one of the best we have ever booked and we highly recommend it!! We certainly would book it again.,

This home is a great place to stay when you are in Jacksonville. It’s well taken care of and you can tell there is a lot of pride in the ownership. The neighborhood is very quiet and great for taking long walks. It is ideally situated near the Avondale shopping district, which is only a 10 minute walk away. We would definitely stay here again.

The house and furnishing are wonderful. The neighborhood is friendly, easy for walking and close to many things to do. Was a great place for the furry family members and place for them to walk. All the family were very impressed with the house and said they would love to come stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and perfectly located home. My sister and I came into town to celebrate our mom’s 90th birthday and picked the perfect place to relax, catch up, eat good food and see the sites. The house was exactly as we expected; clean, cozy, well appointed and close to everything we wanted to do - shopping, dining, museums and a beautiful, quiet neighborhood for just walking around. Kathryn was a very gracious host and made sure we had everything we needed. She was always accessible and responded quickly through the app. I highly recommend this property and will not hesitate to stay there again.

Riverside beautiful home

Family Celebration

We spent 4 days there with family for a wedding and everything was wonderful. We loved the neighborhood, the house and furnishings are amazing. The only drawback for older couples are that all the bedrooms are upstairs and the bathrooms are a little spread out. Grab bars would be wonderful. But I’m 85 and did fine with it. I’d rebook in a heartbeat!

Lovely Jacksonville Home

We enjoyed our stay in this spacious and well-appointed home located in a beautiful, leafy neighborhood. Great location for walking to dinner, shopping and quick drive to a gem of a museum--Cummer Museum and Gardens. Highly recommend.

Wonderful!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. Everything was exactly as pictured and there was so much space for us that we didn’t feel on top of each other. My family came in to town to celebrate my graduation from nursing school. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location, spacious house!

Stayed for two weeks. This property is well-located, with a 15 minute walk to the shops and restaurants in Avondale. The house is spacious and well appointed. We especially appreciated the large master bathroom and kitchen. The property owner was responsive to our questions and requests. Lots of bedrooms for a larger group.

Beautiful house in a beautiful neighborhood

The house is clean, well decorated and spacious. It is located in a quiet, desirable neighborhood which is close to a museum, parks, shops and restaurants (walking distance for some). The house is plenty big for a group of 6 or more. I could live in this house!

Beautiful Home in a Great Location!

We absolutely loved our stay. The historical home was so clean and very beautifully decorated. Our King size bed was so comfy. We golfed during the day and then returned for the evening to have dinner close by at local restaurants. We especially loved “Biscotti’s.” We also enjoyed a morning walk in “Boone’s Park” located in the area as well. All in all a great stay. Will definitely be back.

Large Beautiful House

Close to good restaurants and classy bars, large house, beautiful with a lot of character. I hosted friends for dinner one night and lunch the next day. Good street parking in front of the house. Quiet neighbors. I never saw or heard any of them.

Owner was helpful but property didn’t meet expectations

While the owner was very lovely and responsive, unfortunately the property didn’t meet our expectations and we checked out after one night. We knew it was a heritage / older home so expected more antique type furniture but listing made it seem more updated then it was. We also found it smelled very musty and the carpets were in bad condition. So unfortunately we didn’t stay.

Kelly, I am sorry your husband had a bad experience. I have never had anyone complain about a "musty smell." I had several people go in the next day and no one was able to identify a smell. I did see there was a spill from the last guest that I was unable to clean as it was a quick turn around. I have replaced the hall floor with wood instead of carpet as I could not get the stain up. I am sorry that you were disappointed and hope the fact that I gave you a full refund alleviated your dissatisfaction.

This property delivered so much more than it promised. I cannot overstate how spacious, clean and accomodating we found the house. The ground floor offers several large gathering spaces, and the bedrooms are sizeable, one with a broad terrace and another with a cozy sitting area and an enormous ensuite. The kitchen is more than merely functional, with all appliances in good working order. The owner was easily accessible on the one occasion we had to reach her. Again, this property exceeded our expectations and set a new standard for short-term lets.
