Just completed rustic cottage with fabulous views. This is the perfect family or couples getaway. Cottage is located on a large ranch with numerous African exotic animals perfect for evening or morning wildlife watching. Ranch has 2.5 miles of riverfront. Experience some of the darkest skies in Texas. Cabin has fabulous 6 person hot tub w/bluetooth audio, pool and outdoor firepit/grill. You won't be disappointed.

An Amazing Experience!

My family and I loved the three days we spent at Artemis Ranch. It truly is a one-of-a-kind place, and Ty was truly a one-of-a-kind host. We found the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation, from hiking, exploring, and finding exotic wildlife around every corner to watching sunsets at the cabin and grilling over an open fire under the stars. Ty, Leslie, and Brandon, thank you for everything.

Peaceful, remote and beautiful!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Artemis Ranch! Ty was an excellent host, and the cabin was beautiful. We noticed all of the fixtures and materials used to build this cabin were excellent quality. There was plenty of space for our family of 4. The pool was gorgeous, and the hot tub was excellent after a day of hiking in Colorado Bend State Park. We loved the clear skies and bright stars here as well! Seeing exotic animals roaming around freely was also a treat. What a special place!

All we can say is WOW!!!!!

Artemis Ranch and Retreat exceeded our expectations! The stunning views, crystal-clear starry nights, and encounters with exotic animals made our stay unforgettable. The cottage was spotless, and arriving was a breeze, feeling like a hidden gem in the wilderness. Booking was a cinch, adding to the seamless experience. We cannot wait to hopefully book our late 2024 wedding at this amazing place. The lodge being built looks absolutely amazing, and it's making us even more excited for what's to come!

Amazing Property

Let me start this by saying, I was heading to Lampassas for a family wedding and was looking for somehting a bit more than what the local hotels had to offer. Safe to say, objective completed. I cannot say enough about Ty, Leslie and their team/property. I hate to write a review this well because I know all of the ATX crew will eventually see this and make it impossible for me visit again. If you're looking for the ability to drive 5min to a Starbucks, do not come here. If you are looking for a 2mi drive on a dirt road from the main road to an amazing cabin in the middle of an 3700ac ranch/game-preserve with the best night sky you have seen with pool and hot tub, this is your place. The owners, Ty & Leslie, and their entire team were nothing less than the most hospitable hosts one could ask for. Upon arrivial, driving back to the cabin, I saw at least 5 different African game species, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. Later on in my stay, Ty & Leslie were kind enough to take our small family group on a tour of the property to see nearly 30 species of game and 2.5mi of the Colorado River. Also, be on the lookout, Ty is nearing completion on an 11 bedroom, 13,000sqft lodge on the property that will be a premier location for special events off the beaten track. Thank you Ty & Leslie for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!!

An amazing getaway not too far out of town!

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was very rural and quiet with all the amenities of home and more! The sunsets were spectacular while relaxing in the hillside pool. You will also see exotic wildlife throughout the property. They kids loved going down to the stocked pond and catching fish off of the dock. I don’t have one bad thing to say about this place and we will definitely be back. Thanks Ty for opening up your ranch and allowing others to enjoy it!

My wife and I are both from West Texas. We lived out of State for about 25 years but returned to our Texas roots. We love hosting guests and sharing our beautiful ranch. Trying to create a special place is what excites us. We are in the process of building a world class lodge that we believe will be unrivaled in the surrounding area. We hope that can appreciate and enjoy Artemis Ranch.

Why they chose this property

The ranch was the perfect place to create a world class resort. It was in major need to investment and putting things back to their natural state. We have cleared over a million invasive junipers (cedar) and have reseeded hundreds of acres with natural grass/plant seeds. We currently have 23 species of exotic animals that roam the ranch. The ranch has over 100 caves (sorry only professionals can go in most of them), 2.5 miles of riverfront, a major wetwater creek, numerous ponds, ridges, gullies, rills and gorges. You'll experience thousands of beautiful live, red or post oaks.

What makes this property unique

There are so many unique things about the ranch. It is one of the darkest places in Texas with night skies so dark and beautiful that you feel like you can touch the stars. And if you can't then it is probably due to the full moon that you can almost pluck from the sky. The sunsets are gorgeous and make for perfect outdoor grilling over a mesquite fire, and yes we will provide you with an ample set of mesquite. Great steaks are available at the local butcher shop. Unlike the concrete jungle of the city, the evenings and mornings are very pleasant even on the hottest day. We have 2.5 miles of riverfront, 23 species of exotic animals, hiking, fishing and exploring. If you are looking for a beautiful, serene setting where you can enjoy nature and spend time with close friends and family, then this is the place. And to top it off you have your own private pool and hot tub complete with lights and bluetooth music connected through your phone. The ranch borders Colorado Bend park on the South and West, if near 2 great wineries. You can visit the Bend for live music, take a short trip to San Saba or just enjoy the ranch.
