Liked: Check-in, location
I actually liked the location and loved the pond. I caught a few little perch and a bigger fish. I believe they need a new cleaning crew. The living room lighted ceiling fan was not working, I texted him and asked and never heard back. The paddle boats had holes in the bottom and the grass was so grown up that you couldn’t walk around the pond. This place is perfect yet not so much. I was there a couple years ago and it was dirty inside then but wanted to try again. I’m sorry to say I won’t try again. The host was a nice man , the second day the lightning hit something and I didn’t have water for a day but he brought me bottled water
Well, this was my 2nd time here. I actually like the location but, I believe they need a new cleaning crew, they had put a dirty cup with sugar in it in the cabinet. And the ceiling fan and light in the living room wouldn’t work and I texted the owner and he never got back to me about it. Both the paddle boats had holes in them. Then the second night something happened to the waterline, so water for a day and a half. I realize that wasn’t his fault and he did bring me bottled water and a bucket to get water from the pond to flush the toilet.I probably won’t go again I did catch a few fish.

Hello Connie and family. It's unfortunate you had difficulties this visit. We had a huge electrical storm before your arrival. Communication in vrbos APP IS NOT THE BEST, and why I put my number on the refrigerator. I did not know about the electrical problems until later. Seems the light switch turned on the TV and the pull strings had to be used to turn the lights on and off. It's still a problem but at least now I can give the current guests a heads up. Not good about the cup of sugar but how would I know. Well, hope the good out weighted the bad... Some nice fish there. G
The cabin is nice & comfy ! We really liked the country decor . The fishing was good Over all this is a great place to enjoy A getaway from busy life!!
We loved our quick weekend at Cowboy Cabin! Opening the front door to look out over the “pond” was the best way to start the day. Would stay again!

About the host
Hosted by Garrett
Hi I'm Garrett, I purchased this property in 2007 and have loved being here ever since. The Oklahoma wilderness is so peaceful and beautiful. I would love to have the opportunity to share my rustic cabin experience with you.
Why they chose this property
I grew up in Stillwater, then moved out of state for work. I knew I wanted to come back to Oklahoma when I retired so I chose this area because of the wilderness, stars, wildlife, and peace and quiet as well as a place to ride my horse.
What makes this property unique
The cabins are rugged and rustic which is part of the ambience. Three themed cabins sit between a 10 acre lake which they face and a 5 acre pond right behind them so there is good fishing all around. There is a good amount of trees and shrubs between each cabin so privacy is maintained. The furniture is worn, but sturdy which fits right into this theme. All linens are fresh for every guest. At night you can hear coyotes in the distance, frogs croaking and there are geese, ducks and deer to observe most days. A walking/biking path goes all the way around the lake for nature lovers.
