Your host lives in Stoddard, WI - just 7 miles from the property where you are staying. I grew up in Bill & Judy's Farmhouse! Bill and Judy were my parents. When I got married in 1977 I moved 7 miles to Stoddard. The property is owned by 3 sisters and a brother. I live closest so I am being the manager. I have always wanted to own my own business and my siblings are supporting this adventure!

The owners grew up here! This newly remodeled farmhouse that you are staying in was built somewhere between 1905 and 1910 according to our Uncle Mike. Our Grandma Agnes Pedretti grew up in this house and our parents purchased it from her, so the farm has been in the family for generations! Pictures of what the farm used to look like are hanging in downstairs rooms. When we were children, we were free to roam the woods and the cow pasture. We also worked in the fields, picking up rocks, loaded and unloaded hay, and learned how to plant and harvest tobacco. There was once a huge tobacco shed on the property (picture on the wall in the upstairs bedroom on the right).

Things to do in the area: Food • Rudy’s Bar: Located Main Street in Genoa (closed on Tuesdays) offers great burgers with cheese, raw onion, pickles, catsup and mustard. Pizza also available. • Tuna’s Bar: Located Main Street in Genoa serves pizza. • Z-ZIP in Genoa: Location 4050 State Hwy 35, Genoa, WI 54632 | (608) 689-2203 – they provide amazing broasted chicken, fries, deep fried broccoli, shrimp and mini tacos. Foods are all “To Go.” • Rocky’s Supper Club: Located on Main in Stoddard, WI is famous for their cheese curds; also offer a full menu and specials on certain nights. Wednesdays are pizza night, Thursdays are Mexican night and Friday’s are Fish Fry night. Many go to Rocky’s to try their famous bleu cheese fish. Search the Stoddard village Facebook page for hours on the splash pad. • Blackhawk park is located 10.4 miles south on Highway 35, and has lots of playground options and even a beach and swim area.
