Historic, Cozy Cabin with pond and 3.4 acres in the heart of Pinetop!
Step back to a simpler time in this historic ranch-style log cabin. It was built by a carpenter in the late 1940s with trees from the property. The hickory wood floors are original. We have intentionally kept the décor vintage. Our rustic cabin has a lot of character, making your experience unique. It’s perfect for a romantic getaway, family bonding/memories, a trip to rejuvinate or escape the Phoenix heat or play in the snow!
Take in the views of the pond and wildlife from the living room, bedroom, or large, covered porch. Wake up in the morning, brew some coffee, breathe in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature while swaying on the front porch swing. Venture out to the swing next to the pond for a more up close view of pond life. Explore the beautiful property, including the winding creek. Take a 5-minute walk to the nearby hiking trail. Make memories, sitting around the fire pit at night roasting marshmallows, telling stories, and singing songs. Look up and gaze at the majesty of the stars in the White Mountains night sky.
This is a rare piece of property in Pinetop and is super close to restaurants (The Pasta House is walking distance), Eddie's Country Store, Safeway, shopping, and conveniences. Hiking, horseback riding, fishing, and golf are a few miles away. Skiing at Sunrise Park Resort is a 35-minute drive. https://www.sunrise.ski/
There is a three-night minimum for Christmas and New Years weeks.
There is plenty to do at the cabin but there is so much more to do just a short walk or drive away. Enjoy the White Mountains and our Little Cabin in the Big Woods! We believe you will leave feeling refreshed and peaceful, having made priceless memories.

We loved spending our anniversary at this cozy cabin. You can feel the history as soon as you walk in. We noticed in other reviews that it mentioned a low roof in certain areas and so expected to see that during our visit. I am 6'2" and had to duck through most of the doorways. Nonetheless, it was so nice to enjoy the cabin and the property. We arrived while it was snowing and were able to witness such beautiful scenery throughout our stay. We would absolutely stay again if the opportunity arises.
The cabin and surroundings were just what we needed; serene, beautiful nature, comfortable...we never wanted to leave the property. Also, this was the most well supplied vacation home we've ever visited. That made the trip even more relaxing. A great place to get away to, relax and renew.
It was so nice to escape the Phoenix heat. The home was definitely as described. Rustic relaxing stay in this cozy home on a beautiful property. Great communication from the hosts. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home.
For those who cherish the quiet days when you could read, do crossword puzzles, and commune with nature this is a great retreat. It is close to some nice restaurants in Pinetop, Az. The cabin has a lot of family history and is a little bit like stepping back in time although it has all the modern conveniences and makes you feel immediately comfortable.

Cool little historic cabin with an amazing porch overlooking a pond. Perfect for relaxing with swings, enough space for the kids to run around, and a fire pit for s'mores in the evening.

Secluded but convenient. The cabin is charming and loaded with an amazing family history. Outdoors is magnificent. My kids and I spent most of our time outdoors at the pond catching crawdads and enjoying the scenery. We enjoyed every second and are sad to be leaving. Owners are wonderful and kind. Very helpful.
I cannot say enough kind words about this cabin and the owners. My husband and I spent 3 days at this wonderful cabin! The weather was beautiful and we spent most of our time on the covered patio.
The level of communication from the owners was supreme! I’ve stayed in a few VRBO’s but this is one of my favorites.

This was an amazing property. If you are looking for a cabin in the woods this is it. Literally like staying at grandmas house with all of the interesting artwork, books. Furniture etc. if you are looking for modern and bougie this is not it. The kitchen was well equipped, and the BBQ on the patio worked like a charm. Bed was really comfortable, and the cabin stayed cool. They have 2 fans as well. There is a trail to a trailhead which is amazingly convenient, and you can walk to the Lions Den, Pasta House,Munich house etc. it’s very private, sitting on the massive deck and watching the birds and trees was so relaxing. I would totally stay again.

I grew up in this cabin with my mom, dad, and brother helping take care of our chickens, ducks, geese, horses, pigs, rabbits, goats, and even a raccoon! Lifetime memories were made exploring the creek, riding our horse in rodeos, making snow forts, sledding, snow skiing, fishing, and hunting.
The photos on the wall are of my family and my mom did much of the artwork.
My wife, Jennifer, and our three kids visit my childhood home every chance we can.
