Relax and unwind in this stunning home overlooking the beautiful St. Lawrence river, just minutes from town. This spacious home features 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a modern kitchen, large living areas on both levels, porch, large deck, 2 patios and over 200 ft of pristine shoreline.
This area is a 4 season destination for lovers of swimming, biking, hiking, paddling, fishing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and more.
Located just 3 hours from Toronto, 1.75 hours from Ottawa and 25 minutes from Kingston.
The home is located just 5-minutes from the town of Gananoque, where you’ll find live theatre, shops, an antique boat museum, helicopter tours, 1000 islands cruises, art galleries and a wide variety of cafes and restaurants.
For nature enthusiasts, you’ll be treated to beautiful sunsets, an endless array of wildlife, and a river full of swans, ducks and geese. If you happen to be a birdwatcher, grab your binoculars and enjoy the abundance of feathered friends that live in our area.
For much of the year, this area is a cyclists’ paradise as it is situated near some of the best biking routes around. These routes will take you west on County Road/Hwy 2 toward Kingston, or east along the 1000 Islands Parkway toward Brockville.
The property’s back lot is a great place for guests of all ages to hang out, play sports, or enjoy an afternoon of fun family exploration. It's also a great place to escape to when you simply want to enjoy the beauty and serenity of this gorgeous property.
The waterfront features over 200 feet of shoreline and is great for spending time with friends and family. There is easy water access for those who like to swim. There is also a small 26' dock that is suitable for small watercraft such as rowboats, canoes, kayaks, Seadoos, etc.
The property is in a small rural community just outside of town with only a small number of neighbours. The main road ends at a small ferry that goes to Howe Island. This home itself is located off the main ferry road down a gravel laneway that has 2 forks and is located on the left-hand fork which is shared with only one other family. You will see a large metal quonset structure adjacent to the home which is used to store grounds keeping equipment.
Ample parking is available on the home's circular driveway that also includes 2 additional parking spaces. The laneway and main ferry road are both very walkable. Town is just 5 minutes east by car.
This house has one RING Video Doorbell which is located at the entrance to the front porch and only has a view of the sidewalk. Sound recording has NOT been enabled and the device will be deactivated after guests check-in

About the host
Hosted by Chris Cornish

I grew up in this this gorgeous area and have family roots from here that go back over 100 years. This property is very special to me due it's lineage and I am very proud of the work we have done to keep it up, update the home and to and make it the space it is today.
Why they chose this property
This property is almost 7 acres in size, most of which is park-like and easily accessible to guests. With over 200 feet of shoreline on the St. Lawrence River, it offers guest the opportunity to play, relax, swim, canoe, kayak and generally unwind. Easy access to the water is available from the small dock or from a set of rock stairs that descend into the crystal clear waters. Multiple seating areas are located around the house which makes it easy to find a favourite spot for your stay. There's lots of places to explore nearby, either by foot, bike, boat or car. See the 1000 islands up close by kayak or paddleboard - many of the islands that make up the1000 Islands national Park are nearby.
What makes this property unique
The views of the river from the home never get old. Each season showcases its own unique beauty whether is the mid-summer sunsets, the view of Howe Island showing off its fall colours, or the silvery blues of the ice covered St. Lawrence in the winter.
