Beautiful home, wonderful host
The big old home was set up very nicely, Cheryl was a wonderful attentive host and the breakfast with her was amazing. The hot tub was very clean. Beautiful yard and patio. It was everything I could have wanted. I wanted to live there.

About the host

I'm a mother of 9 grandmother of 39 and counting. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and home is where the heart is. I grew up in Indiana, but have lived in 9 different states. We chose to settle in Missouri because it is in the center of the USA and we have family in a dozen states. I have many life experiences owning a reasturant, teaching school, working with the handicapped, managing property. I enjoy visiting with my guests and hearing their stories but also respect privacy when it is preferred. I have family member with dietary challenges so if you need accommodations I am happy to accommodate.

Why they chose this property

When we came on an exploratory trip to Missouri looking for a new beginning we were searching for a smaller home, but I had always had a dream to get an older home and restoring it. When we looked at this home it was love at first sight. As we explored the town and went to church to meet the people, it felt like home. So we jumped in with both feet. As we had traveled we had listened to a book series that took place in a bed and breakfast and I guess it inspired me. It has taken a year for us to remodel and furnish the home that sits in a quiet residentual area on half an acre. So it is now my full time job

What makes this property unique

Benefits, I suppose depends on what you are looking for. If it is quiet comfort this is the place. If you are interested in hunting, yes. Interested in quilting, yes (close to Hamilton, quilting capital). Interested in learning about other cultures, yes (15 minutes away from Jamesport, an Amish Community. Interested in a Church History tour, yes (lots of historic sites within 90 minutes) Interested in nature, yes (Crowder State Park 10 minutes away). But if you just want to hang out here and soak in the hot tub or watch movies or sit on the front porch and watch the squirrels that would be awesome.
