Great place to stay any time of the year. Nestled in the northeastern corner of the Sierra Valley sits a cute and cozy loft above our barn shaped shop. Come enjoy all the area has to offer. Our property sits just 15 minutes from Frenchman Lake, 25 minutes from Graeagle, and 30 minutes from Reno. Off- roading and horseback riding trails are just a few minutes away with access to hundreds of miles of trails. The bunkhouse can comfortably sleep 4 people. There is a queen sized bed, a double sized bed in a pull out couch. With an air mattress you could squeeze in 6 people. In the kitchenette area we have a two burner hot plate and griddle. A few different size pots and pans, cooking utensils, plates and silverware. We also have a single cup Keurig machine. During the spring, cows are grazing, chickens are clucking and goats are doing goat things. Horseshoe pits, fire pit, and outdoor area set up to enjoy the fresh air and relax outside. The fire pit is useable depending on the weather and will be lit upon request. Parking instructions will be provided before check in. Horse Boarding- $40 per day (must provide hay) Trailer parking- $15 per day/trailer

Nick and his family were great hosts. Friendly and kind. Place was just what my brother and I needed for a fishing trip to Frenchman Lake. Looking forward to a return trip and stay.
Bunkhouse was very clean, comfortable. Host provided warm hospitality and great info on local sites. Will definitely recommend!

Super nice room. Very spacious and Clean. Private and Quiet space. Really appreciate places like this where you can get away for a peaceful weekend stay. Very kind host family too. And super grateful for the accommodation of our pets. Honestly, couldn't recommend our stay more. Loved it.
We had a great time here! Beautiful area and the two 16 year old boys were able to ride dirt bikes right out of the drive way onto adjacent BLM. Very close to Reno and several cute towns.
Very nice family that takes has the rental!

It did have a lovely view. We were gone to Hot Springs so weren't around the property much, but it was warm and comfortable and furnished in a cowboy motif. Not close to restaurants but did have enough of a kitchen to prepare breakfast.
Everything about the property was exceptional!
Beautiful scenery, the unit was spacious, easy access, secure location, close to Reno, close to many many outdoor recreation areas, amazing sunsets & sunrises, cool livestock, friendly dog, friendly host, friendly cat.
Thanks for sharing your amazing property!
An absolutely perfect stay and very accommodating hosts. I stayed here for an avalanche class located at little Truckee Summit OHV park. The drive from the bunk house to class was easy and wonderful. There is a general store nearby with great breakfast and even steaks for dinner. Even with the very cold temps, the bunkhouse is warm, comfortable and has the BEST blankets and sheets. It is very spacious and gives plenty of room to spread all equipment, school work, and personal belongings out. The coffee was wonderful each morning and the roosters are the alarm clock. Please note, you do have to climb stairs to stay in the bunk house, but they are worth the climb every day! Views are beautiful with all the farm animals around. We would absolutley stay with this nice family again!
The bunkhouse provided a very simple access to Reno and surrounding areas, I loved the isolated quiet area it is located in. The only noises you hear are distant roosters and some ranch animals. The host family are very nice and have two friendly barn cats that were a joy
We had an event in the Doyle area. This place has amazing views of farm lands and mountains. They were very helpful, off road riding trails within a mile, easy to Reno if you need the city, a few small stores, fuel station within a couple miles. We will definitely be back! Great place and Great people!!
We had a wonderful time staying at the bunkhouse. It was fun to spend time on a small farm with cows, goats, chickens and ducks. There is lots of hiking right from the property. The owner was very helpful and provided farm fresh eggs and home made goats milk soap. If we ever find ourselves in Chilcoot, we will be back.
Beautiful apt with beautiful views. It is out in the middle of nowhere. This did not bother me, loved it. As far as dog friendly, the grass area had dog waste everywhere. Hard to walk without stepping in. The farm animals were the best.
We had a great stay at this cozy farm property! It had a simple, homey charm, clean, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and it was a nice bonus to see their kids enjoying the farm life. It really added to the charm. They were kind enough to allow our two golden retrievers, which we really appreciated. The peaceful setting and open space were perfect for unwinding. Verizon service was a bit slow, but it didn’t take away from the experience. Great spot for anyone looking for a simple, pet-friendly stay in the countryside.
Nothing like waking up to a sunrise of mountainlands, folks riding horses along the ridgelines, and just reconnecting with the life we all dream of. Kids had a chance to feed some goats and play with the chickens. Exactly what we were hoping for when we found the listing. Place was well stocked, felt like coming home rather than staying at a hotel while still having the amenities of a hotel. Owners are good folk who were nice to talk with. We came for an event in Reno and the drive was nothing. Absolutely worth it.
