Overall Well

The property was pretty clean but noticed a bunch of sticky surfaces. The dishwasher did not work for the first couple of days. The holiday played a part with the response time. There was NO washer or dryer, so we could not do laundry. Very strange that a big condo complex like that doesn't have laundry. Overall it was nice. We mostly just slept there while being out during the day.

Cleaning

I received a message a few hours prior to checking in that this property was being cleaned and they would inform me once it’s ready. When I arrived this property was not clean; in the living room near the door we had an entire family of lady bugs; impossible it was just cleaned a few hours upon arrival. The amenities that we needed were broken (Coffee maker) leaked and made a big mess. The sofa bed tilts up when the kids laid on it causing my son to fall in his sleep in between the couch. The sheets for the sofa bed has holes in the covers. These type of things are mind blowing when blankets and covers are not that expensive. The bathroom around the shower has mold around the shower you can’t help but notice it while using the restroom. The stove in the kitchen is not worth cooking on the oven needs to be scrubbed and clean with oven cleaner. We located items from the previous renters and they were very obviously located. I just wish owners of these properties would take better care and actually make these rental properties comfortable enough for renters. I highly doubt the owners would sleep one night there. I slept fully clothed with my coat on top of me my entire stay, it really creeped me out.

Nice Surroundings, Not Great Customer Service

Ok for the money. Best part was seeing bears every morning on the way into town. Photos made this unit seem like a great choice. However, the rooms are much darker due to lack of lighting than portrayed, carpet in bedrooms is older and needs cleaning or replacement. The mattresses in the metal frame bedroom needs to be desperately replaced. The lock was also not working correctly at check-in and it took the property management company 3 hours to get us inside. Several frustrating phone calls were made back and forth until they finally sent someone who did not have the correct codes or a key; they left to go retrieve the spare from the local office. Jackson Mountain also wanted us to give up our vacation time and meet the maintenance person to have the lock fixed. When we returned home I made them aware of other issues - moldy shower curtain and an excessive amount of spiders in one of the bedrooms. They have repeatedly refused to fully and properly compensate for these issues. They compensated $49.58; I don't think $100 was too much to ask for the issues listed above. So if you book, make sure you bug the crap out of them with ANY issue you feel needs to be fixed, which will also require you to give up your vacation time to be at the unit.
