The house is beautifully situated right on the water with amazing sunrises right over the water. The house was clean and had plenty of accommodations for our family of 4. The hosts are very friendly and responsive. We will be back!

The kitchen was great and there were lots of room for us all to eat together. The bedroom’s were a little strange for our family but we make it work with a air mattress. The weather was great not to hot in the day and very pleasant at night.

We love renting this cabin on beautiful Lake Huron in the Les Cheneaux Islands area of the Upper Peninsula! This was our third consecutive year renting this property. It’s great for families with kids; there is lots for them to do! The kitchen is well equipped, and the outdoor grill plus Blackstone outdoor griddle were put into use regularly. The location is great because it is very tranquil yet convenient to all that the area has to offer. Carol is a wonderful host and very responsive. We look forward to coming every year.

This classic, excellently-maintained log cabin has something for everyone: well-equipped kitchen and outdoor grills for cooks; a game room with real trophies and a bar for the hunters; sports equipment for the active ones; and for the rest of us, a beautiful serene vista of the Les Cheneaux Islands and surrounding woods with all manner of singing birds to experience. In this case, photos do not do this place justice!

Wonderful for families!

Not only is this property beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, but everything one could possibly need is there. We felt as though we moved into a friend’s home for the week. We would love to come back!

Excellent location on the water. Easy access to Mackinac Island- about 1/2 hour to the ferry. Interesting decor if you like taxidermy! Lots of games/activities available.Unfortunately had to leave early due to the Canadian smoke and heat. (no A/C). Obviously not owners fault. But would rent again

Northwoods Paradise

Our family had a wonderful stay at Lake Huron Lodge. Beautiful, serene setting and charming, large lakefront cabin with lots of amenities make this a great place for family and friends to play and relax. I enjoyed cooking daily meals in the well-appointed kitchen and outdoor grilling area. We rented a boat nearby and had a great time tubing and fishing in the area. With so much to do in Les Cheneaux and the sheer beauty and solitude of the place, we’ll keep making the 9 hour drive to come back!

There is lots of sleeping space, a well-equipped kitchen plus outdoor grill and Blackstone, and an amazing family room, as well as canoes and kayaks to use on the lake. The hosts are wonderful to work with. I highly recommend!

What a beautiful and serene place to spend a week! Picture waking up to a glorious sunrise right from your bedroom window, and then sitting in an Adirondack chair sipping your morning coffee! Lodge was comfortable with all the amenities (kitchen and otherwise) needed and space to get away from the teenagers. Host responded immediately to an electrical issue and had it resolved within 24 hours. Family voted to return for another stay!

Pike trip

The place was outstanding. The only complaint was that we did not get the code to get in the place. An older gentleman was cutting the grass that day when we arrived and thankfully he gave us the code. The address house number wasn't the same either on mailbox.

Fun family vacation home away from home

14 of us stayed in this amazing cabin. Perfect being right on the lake. So many fun things to do at the cabin and within a drive. The beaches have shallow areas perfect for kids. The kayaks and canoe allowed us to go to beautiful spots on the lake. Inside the cabin, there was plenty of room to be separate from family or with family. The host was amazing - quick to respond with any questions or comments. Everything worked great while we were there, as we used the grill, the griddle, the dishwasher, garbage disposal, washer and dryer, etc. The kids loved riding bikes in the large paved driveway. Shuffleboard was a big hit too. We would highly recommend staying here.
