You’ll love our place because It has a piece of Canadian history an old former trappers lodge converted to a 4 twin bed bunkie along with a recently built main cottage on a quiet crystal clear beautiful Lake It is only a 3km drive to Harcourt that offers dinning at the famous Algonquin Cookhouse next door to gas ,LCBO and a coffee shop an 8km scenic drive to Wilberforce which has a large grocery store ,LCBO , gas and restaurant The town of Halliburton and Bancroft are within a 25min. drive .
The space
Please note : July 1/22 to August 31/22 is a 7 day min. stay Fri. to Fri. June17/22 to June26 and Sept 2 /22to Sept 9/22 is a 4 day min. stay . The lake is a good size with large lots and plenty of privacy. There is only 24 cottages on this spring fed lake with 80 percent of lake front land uninhabited . The wild life is plentiful
with loons and blue herons getting up close to dock . You will love the scenery ,peace and tranquility. The water is 8 ft deep at the end of the dock and is best suited for kids 3 and older that are confident swimmers. If you enjoy fishing there is small mouth, large mouth and lake trout on this crystal clear lake .South facing with all day sun and great views of the evening moon rise .

This cottage may not be suitable for very young children under 3 .The beach area you see in the picture has changed because of the grade of the property and most of the sand has washed away . We prefer keeping the shore line natural so if your looking for a wading pool for your young toddler you may be disappointed . Having said that it is still a safe place for them to explore and chase frogs.
Other things to note
The drive in from the main highway is only 2km with mostly flat gravel well maintained roads with the exception of two large hills that are easily travelled with a two wheel drive vehicle . We love to cook so kitchen is well equipped . Coffee lovers have three machine choices . Bring your own favourite Nespresso Vertuo capsules , K cup pods or old fashion drip grinds.
