Peak's Paradise - Home

Newly renovated 5-bedroom, 2-bathroom duplex in Virgil, NY! Just 2 minutes from Greek Peak Ski Resort you’ll be able to maximize your snow sport time in a stylish, well-appointed apartment.

Downstairs: Large living space with a custom, owner-made dining table both with plenty of seating for all guests. Spa-like bathroom with a fully tiled shower. All linens are provided.
Two bedrooms with queen beds and one bedroom with a king bed. One queen bedroom and the king bedroom each have their own smart TV.
Back room provides storage for your skis and snowboards.

Upstairs: You’ll be greeted in the living room by gorgeous vaulted ceilings and shiplap walls. Snuggle up on the sectional and turn on the 55 inch smart tv or take a seat at the built-in bar to enjoy a meal. With a connecting living and kitchen area you’ll be able to spend quality time with your entire group without missing a beat!
Through the hallway you’ll find 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The first bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and a bookcase stocked with some favorite books. The second bedroom is furnished with a king bed, dresser, a 43 inch smart tv, and a spacious closet.

The whole house (downstairs and upstairs apartments) are yours to use as well as the back yard and deck.

We are local to Cortland County, but you likely won’t see us unless you need us

The town of Virgil is a very quiet area, however, we are 2 houses down from the fire station so you will likely hear the alarm during your stay!

The apartments do not connect inside. Outdoor access is required for entry to each apartment.

Short drive to greek peak

Calli was very responsive. Home was clean with all modern conveniences available. Location of property was a very short drive to greek peak and cascades water park. Although the snow was lacking, the memories and laughs were abundant. Great stay!

Fantastic Feb Ski Weekend!

Another Awesome Place! We skied, laughed, had a few meals and spent some quality time together! We were 7 but this house would easily and comfortably accommodate 10. Everything we needed was provided! Minutes to Greek Peak ski area. Also very close to Dryden & Cortland and the wonderful restaurants in those towns. Ithaca is also not far so this would be a great stay at any time of the year. Could not have picked a more perfect place!

Visit for family wedding

We had a family wedding just down the road so the location was perfect. It accommodated our whole family with room to spare. The upstairs separate apartment was nice to give extra space and sleeping. There were extra supplies like toilet paper, soap and trash bags available which was nice. It was nicely decorated and clean.

Great homey feel with many amenities!

We greatly enjoyed our stay, the house was well stocked with soaps, essential kitchen needs and cleaners, towels even laundry pods if you needed! The Beautiful modern decor and floating night stands by each side of bed were great added touch. There were plenty places to charge your devices. The beds were very comfortable and tvs in the room allowed everyone to enjoy. We enjoyed the cool fire pit with built in swing seating. We can’t wait to come back to ski and utilize the awesome mud room! Thank you so much Calli

This is not one home. It is two separate apartments.

This property is ecstatically, pleasing, clean and close to the ski area. However, it is not one home. It is two separate apartments that are not connected internally. If you are going with family, you will have to go outside and up a steep stairwell to an upstairs apartment and will not be in the same unit as your family. Another thing to be aware of is the uneven floor between the kitchen and the family room in the downstairs apartment as it’s a tripping hazard multiple times our family had tripped, and the two year-old often tripped and fell.

Great New Years Weekend!

Our group of 7 had a wonderful stay, occupying both units. The house was very clean and communication with Calli was efficient and excellent. We all slept well in comfortable beds. Pots, pans, dishes and flatware were plentiful. We used the downstairs unit for gathering and meals, with a large table and plenty of seating. Although skiing was not possible due to the warm temperatures, the close location to Greek Peak (minutes away) was great. We did use the waterpark there, which the kids really enjoyed. Plenty of off street parking was appreciated. The backyard is large, including a fire pit and grills. Unfortunately, the rain and mud prevented us from using it. We would definitely stay at Peak's Paradise again if return to the area.

Peaks Paradise Virgil

We had a comfortable, enjoyable weekend here. Owner was fairly prompt when we were locked out due to failure of electronic lock. Fortunately we rented both upstairs and downstairs units, so we were warm while we waited. It is inconvenient to get from one unit to the other: the stairs are steep with no handrails and the stairwell is outdoors. This made our groups seem more separate. The floors in the lower unit are very uneven, with difficult to see transitions of an inch or two - a trip hazard. These floors also undulate.

Too Many Red Flags

On the plus side, both units were clean, nicely furnished and Callie was quick to respond. On the minus side, a custom table and trendy decorating do not make up for basic safety shortfalls and an overall negative impression. There were no smoke or CO2 detectors in the 1st floor unit (they were installed the next morning). The floors are extremely uneven with tripping hazards created by unmarked level changes between areas (resulting in a foot injury). The enclosed outdoor stairs to the 2nd floor unit are steep with NO handrail. On the other side of an unlocked interior door was access to a cellar. From the doorway we saw debris, hanging insulation and dirt everywhere (a great place for the forced hot air furnace, right?). I had reserved and paid for four nights for 8 of us, including grandchildren. We stayed one. If safety and exterior appearance are priorities, look elsewhere. There are alternatives at this $500+ per night price point.
