About the host
Your host
Randy and I purchased our home on Smith Lake in 2017 for the purpose of eventually retiring and living here full time. Randy retired from the USCG in the summer of 2022 and I am planning to retire from the US Navy Reserves in December of 2023. We finally made our move in July. We live just 3 doors down from this property. Our little community is quiet and friendly.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this lake the moment we saw it. Our children and grandchildren have great memories of coming here for summers over the past 6 years. We wanted others to enjoy our lake, too! Since moving here full time, we have also discovered that this area is not all about summer. Fall and winters here offer other amenities like hiking the Bankhead National Forest and hunting.
What makes this property unique
This lake is deep and clean. Like see your feet in the water clean. If you own a boat or PWC, there is a public boat ramp just 3 or 4 miles away. There's no end to tubing, skiing, wakeboarding, wake surfing or just enjoying the water from the dock.
