Summary:

Welcome to Ash & Elm, your home away from home in beautiful Three Oaks, Michigan! Fully updated with a large backyard, you will love your time here in Harbor Country. Spacious interior, luxury bedding, thoughtful finishes, & fresh design; Ash & Elm is sure to have you feeling right at home. Whether you are coming for a wedding or just a weekend away, we are a short walk away from the popular Journeyman Distillery, Froehlich’s restaurant & event space, & tons of fun shopping. 6 miles to Lake Mi.



The Space:

Through the front door you enter into a cozy living room with huge TV & comfy sectional. Just beyond the living room is the dining area that features a farmhouse table that seats 8 & leads into the kitchen with breakfast bar, full suite of stainless steel appliances, & ample storage for your time away! The first floor office is the perfect spot to take some time to get some work done before you enjoy everything Harbor Country has to offer. First floor also features full bathroom with artisan tile & restored Three Oaks custom made barn wood accents.



The second level features 3 bedrooms & a renovated full bath. Primary suite with King Bed, secondary bedroom with queen bed, & 3rd bedroom with custom built twin bunk beds. We love the outside space just as much as the inside with our wrap around porch, grill area with direct gas line, & our favorite spot is the custom bar & seating area that overlooks large fire pit & backyard.



Guest Access:

Guests will have full access to the entire house and set up for guest's use with the exception of a two locked owners closets. Backyard, grill area, and front porch are great spaces on the exterior of the house for guests to enjoy.



The Neighborhood:

Three Oaks, a Harbor Country community, is named for the three massive oaks that stood near a town rail crossing when the village was founded. Popular for weddings, events, or just weekends away, people visit Three Oaks from all over the country. Journeyman Distillery, Froehlich's bakery & event hall, antique stores galore - There is something for everyone in our sweet little town!



Getting Around:

The large driveway that will fit multiple cars. Downtown Three Oaks shops and restaurants are just around the corner within short walking distance. Only a 10 minute drive to Lake Michigan and close to everything Harbor Country has to offer! Wineries, Breweries, nature trails, art studios, and more all within a 15 minute drive from the house!

Three Oaks is a wonderful small town with lots of shops and restaurants to explore! Please note that due to the close proximity to our neighbors, we ask guests respect quiet hours 10pm-7am & keep noise to a minimum.

Ash & Elm is a beautiful property! An older home that was completely renovated and has all the comforts of home. The home is nicely furnished and was very clean. The city of Three Oaks is quaint with a lovely little downtown area, which we walked to the distillery and Tom Cat Tavern a few times! We really loved our stay and would definitely recommend!

We loved all of the small touches the owners added to make our stay more comfortable such as laundry baskets in all of the bedrooms, luggage racks, and hooks for towels and toiletries. Great property with plenty of space. The three of us had a great time sitting around the firepit and enjoying Three Oaks. I would highly recommend this property, which was close by to everything we needed for a great stay. Nearby walk to town, restaurants and Journeyman distillery.

Perfect for our Girl’s Trip

The house was beautifully decorated and fit 7 ladies perfectly. Back deck and front porch were nice for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Loved that we could explore during the day and have a nice, comfortable house to come back too! The location is less than 20 minutes to beaches and wineries. The neighborhood felt safe. We loved our stay and would absolutely come back.

Wonderful Family Gem in Three Oaks

This home was an amazing place to stay for a family weekend at the Journeyman Distillery. It was the perfect combination of restful and fun! It was very well equipped, the hosts were great, and everyone who stayed or visited while we were there loved the house! The location was very convenient to the Distillery but also the very quaint downtown. And New Buffalo was just 10 minutes away so the marina, dunes, and beaches were close by. We couldn’t have asked for more. We definitely recommend checking out this house if you are looking to stay in the area!

Close and Cozy

We were in Three Oaks for a wedding and decided to make a fun little weekend trip out of it. This VRBO was just perfect for the three of us, and was close to everything but still felt cozy and surprisingly quiet for being on the main road. You could hear the rumble of a truck or a train horn every now and then, but not enough to be a distraction or nuisance. Getting to New Buffalo was only a 12 minute drive, the casino only a 9 minute drive through the countryside, and Elm street was right around the corner and was filled with wonderful shops and people. We all enjoyed exploring during the day, and being together and comfortable in this beautiful home in the evening.

Our new favorite place to stay in Three Oaks

I cannot speak more highly of this property and the property owners! It was one of the cleanest homes I have stayed in (and that’s saying a lot from someone who uses VRBO to book all of our vacations) with every detail well thought out. The home had everything that comes standard and more! You can tell the owners take pride in this property and ensuring their guest enjoy their stay! They literally have thought of everything you may need to make your stay comfortable and convenient! We were 2 minutes away from the best restaurants and shopping in Three Oaks but only 10 minutes from New Buffalo and the beach! The backyard was perfect for our wild boys to run around and play. I personally loved all of the different varieties of flowers in the yard and it made my coffee on the rocking chair front porch that much more enjoyable! Angel trumpets, hydrangeas, daylilies… every aspect was just so perfect! I wasn’t the only one who loved it either, my step mother asked me to be sure and leave a stellar review because she loved her experience just as much!

Three Oaks is a beautiful village just 10 minutes inland from the lake. We love the shops and restaurants in town as well as grabbing a drink at Journeyman Distillery. Only a few mile drive to the beaches of Lake Michigan.

What makes this property unique

Ash & Elm is updated throughout with touches that will make you feel right at home! The house also features a very large warp around deck and a back deck that has been built out with a large bar that overlooks the fire pit. We are also just a 5-minute walk to everything that the Village of Three Oaks has to offer!
