About this property

Comfortable vacation home, Ennstal area, ideal for summer and winter sports

Our cozy holiday house is located in the famous Ennstal area of western Styria, in a small and quiet settlement outside the spa town of Groebming.

The living room features a fireplace and allows for views of exceptionally picturesque mountains such as Kammspitz, directly from the floor-to-ceiling window. Two of the three bedrooms are on the upper floor and feature a view of the mountains on the other side of the Enns valley. The kitchen is equipped with all standard appliances. Both bathrooms have been renovated since 2009.

Wireless internet access is offered without guarantee, on as-is basis.

Linen and towels can be provided upon request. Laundry will be charged separately by our house caretaker (not part of the rental agreement).

A perfect spot for skiing, hiking, relaxation and quietness: no matter whether you are up for fun on the numerous ski slopes around Gröbming or rather look for a quiet, romantic vacation in the mpountains supported by a fireplace with panoramic window - you are more than likely to find it here! Not a downhill skiing enthousiast? There are ample cross-country ski-tracks waiting for you.

You will find excellent amenities for your aprĂšs-ski experience, and just as easily will you find quiet places inviting you for a lovely stroll.

Gastronomy: Styria's cuisine uses selected ingredients that go way beyond what our palates would expect. Polenta, squash and garlic are some of the products often found in local dishes. A well refined, traditional cuisine you will enjoy remembering long after leaving Gröbming again. Not to forget top-notch wines of southern Styria's and other Austrian vineyards. Romanticists and gourmets will pamper themselves at restaurants such as Moosheim castle or restaurant Krenn in PĂŒrgg.

Our personal recommendation: even if you are not skiing yourself, you can still enjoy going towards the top of various mountains within ski resorts. Tobogganing at day or night at Galsterbergalm is an absolute adventure with breathtaking views and does not require previous experience.

Nice place in Gröbming

We spent a very pleasant week in Peter’s house and went skiing in Kaibling which is roughly a 15 minute drive. The house is warm and well equipped.

We have been renting holiday cottages for at least thirty years. There are two kind of cottages: those where you are a guest and those where you find yourself at home after a couple of hours. This one is one of the few where you find yourself at home. Check-in and check-out where tailored to our specific circumstances. The cottage was very clean with everything on hand to keep it that way. There is no passing traffic in the street, every room is light and airy and there is a baker with fresh bread and a huge Euro Spar in a 5 km range.Peter couldn’t be more helpful in the preparation of the trip and during our stay. We had bad luck with the weather the first week but we hardly cared.

Die Unterkunft war wie beschrieben. Sauber, ordentlich und alles funktionsfĂ€hig. Von KĂŒchenutensilien bis hin zur Waschmaschine und Badzubehör war alles vorhanden. Die Lage ist wirklich toll, sehr ruhig und als Ausgangspunkt fĂŒr Unternehmungen optimal. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war ĂŒberaus angenehm und freundlich! Wandern und Abenteuer bei jedem Wetter

Wir hatten einen schönen Urlaub. Im Haus war alles nötige vorhanden, allerdings fehlten daher die Lagermöglichkeiten fĂŒr die eigenen Sachen im zentralen Bereich des Hauses. Etwas störend war die teils laute und etwas nach Heizlöl riechende Heizung.Die Betten sind mit etwas hĂ€rteren aber sehr bequemen Matratzen ausgestattet. Alles in allem war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt.

Eine erholsame und erlebnisreiche Urlaubswoche

Wir waren bereits zum zweiten Mal in Gröbming, auch in dieser Ferienwohnung. Lage der Ferienwohnung ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt fĂŒr Wanderungen und AusflĂŒge in der Umgebung. Die Ferienwohnung bietet ausreichend Platz fĂŒr 5 Personen, ist gut ausgestattet und sauber. Wir kommen bestimmt und sehr gerne auch ein drittes Mal
