Collier House was constructed by a local coal miner and we wanted to pay homage to him and his work’s impact on the local history of Grundy. Throughout the home, you will find artwork and photographs of local miners and coal mining memorabilia. The industry brought railways and economic drive to our area which made a way of life for most families who lived here. Although the coal mines haven’t been in operation in over 20 years, almost every family has stories to share of how they were impacted by its existence.
We hope you have enjoyed our listing and we would love to host your next stay to our beautiful Tennessee mountain retreat --

Nice, newly refurbished property. Very clean and well equipped. Quiet area and perfect for access to the parks, falls etc. We rent every year in this area and this is a place we would return to.
Clean, new, comfortable. Lots of snacks and food options. They have breakfast covered, including the option to make waffles with farm fresh eggs! Very cool, enjoyed the stay very much.
This house and the owners are great. Better than we expected. Have never stayed in a house so well equipped as this one. Even the snacks provided were very good and plentiful.
I stayed at the Collier house as an overnight stop while traveling back home. It was very clean and well stocked. It was exactly as described in the advertisement.
