Mountain Retreat

There were three couples staying the week and everyone throughly enjoyed our time there. The house was fantastic and the views were spectacular. There is a little bit of a drive up to the place, but once you’ve made the trip a couple of times it was no problem. Would definitely say there again.

Great family house

We had a great stay at this beautiful home with our family of 6, my husband’s parents and sister for our annual trip to Glenwood Springs. Lots of room for us all to enjoy hanging out together. We loved all the outdoor spaces, especially the hot tub! I would definitely recommend this home! Thanks for a great stay!

A slice of heaven above Glenwood Springs

I can't say enough wonderful things about this house. From the location (stunning views) to the quality of the furnishings, beds (incredibly comfortable), towels, dishware, art, etc. it surpassed any vacation home we have stayed in. Not a detail was overlooked and we truly had the best time, enjoying the quiet surroundings and listening to the wonderful birds in the morning. Thank you for offering your family home to us - we hope to be back one day!

Wow! We loved Sunlight Mountain House! Awesome Views!

We loved Sunlight Mountain House! The brand-new home sits atop a private road on 40 acres- complete solitude and privacy with incredible views. The master bedroom is so luxurious with a copper tub and fireplace! It snowed while we were there, so we tucked in, played games and watched movies and enjoyed all 3 fireplaces. The hot tub under the stars on the deck were magical. We went snowshoeing around the property and skied at Sunlight Mountain- super close. We are planning a couple’s getaway this summer to hike, bike and check out Glenwood Springs. We are very excited to bring our family and friends back next year also.

My wife Marcia and I own this property. The property has been in our family for 25 years and we've been coming up to the original house since then.

Why they chose this property

This is a newly constructed designer home with all new furnishings and appliances. It is located on 40 private acres of aspen trees and wildflowers. While secluded, it is minutes from skiing, town amenities, and all the summer and winter recreation that Colorado has to offer. It sleeps 12 comfortably and features three decks, three fireplaces, smart TVs, and WIFI sound throughout the house. The master bedroom has its own private deck and copper tub. The large entertainment deck has a gas fire pit and hot tub.
