We had a family member who was having surgery local to the area. Taylor’s property afforded us the opportunity to remain close to the hospital. The property was as described and fit our needs. Taylor was communicative and responsive. The property was comfortable.
This property was perfect for our needs - and the pictures are exactly how the house looks! Very clean, comfortable, and a quick response from the owner with any questions we had. We would certainly stay at Christmas City Cottage again if ever in the area!
The location was a bit out of the way considering we were driving back and forth to Easton each of the three days. But, the house was perfect for our family staying there.
Our family traveled to Bethlehem for our daughter's graduation from Lehigh. Taylor's home was a fantastic location. The description of the home was exact. The home was clean and well organized. Taylor is proactive, timely, and kind in his communication. We would definitely stay in Taylor's home again.
The house was comfortable and cozy and we made ourselves at home. It was close enough to grocery stores, excellent pho restaurant, and Bear Creek Mountain ski resort. It fit our needs for a long weekend getaway.
Taylor’s place had everything we needed! Our host was very prompt with communication. Would definitely stay again!

We had issues with renting in the summer time. But this would be an ideal rental In the fall to winter months. The location is central to all activities in Bethlehem - and by the boarder of Allentown. Access to highways, entertainment and dining was spot on and within a 10 minute car ride or less. When we arrived the house temperate was around 84 degrees. There are 2 window units and 2 portal units which are placed in the bedrooms only. This means that the common spaces of kitchen, living room and bathrooms receive no AC. We had all 4 units running at maximum capacity and the house only dropped to 78 degrees within a 14 period. We reached out about the AC units as there were large gaps on each side of the units and cardboard which was under trimmed and allowing hot air from outside to come into the house. With this, one of the units on the first floor had mold that your see through the vents. The first floor smelled like sewage when entering the property - which we identified that it was coming from the first floor bathroom.
We stayed at this house for the weekend that our daughter graduated from Lehigh and it was so perfect. Everything is new and clean and we had everything we needed. We had lots of downtime between events and this was so much better than sitting in two hotel rooms. Extremely nice host who checked in and gave us local suggestions.
The place was perfect for what we wanted. It was nice having individualized air condition units per room. I would stay there again if the opportunity presented itself.
We came to the area to shoot clay targets at Lehigh Valley Clay Center. The property worked out great for 4 shooters, we each had our own large bedroom and two of us shared a large bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked for our morning coffee and everything was very clean. We will try to stay again on our next visit.
Our family was in town to celebrate an early Christmas at a family member's home. Previously we have stayed in not so great hotels in the area. The Christmas City Cottage was a real find, a 4 bedroom two bath home nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood. I was pleasantly surprised to see a wreath on the door and a Christmas tree in the living room. Very inviting and something I have never had at Christmas time in various locations. Kudos to the attentive host Taylor!
I chose location based on proximity to Lehigh University and surrounding area. Everything was as stated. I thought there was laundry on site, but when I read amenities provided I realized only a ironing board and iron were available under the Laundry heading. That was not a deal breaker. Taylor, the owner, was responsive to my questions. The beds were extremely comfortable.

Ants and Other Safety Issues
To start, in the initial message after booking the place the owner said they would send check-in information “in the days before the trip”. I didn’t hear anything by the day before the trip so I reached out and they responded that the information would come at 11am on the check-in day. Not the biggest deal, but it’s incorrect information in the messaging. As soon as we entered the place, we were greeted by the low/no-battery beeping of a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. There was a second smoke detector without its battery already sitting on a shelf in the kitchen. We replaced the battery in the carbon monoxide detector for our own safety. Entering the rooms and waking up the stairs, we noticed that the railing on the stairs almost comes out of the wall when you hold it. Several doorknobs were not screwed in properly and we had to try and fix these, but we don’t travel with screwdrivers on us so we did the best we could. When I removed the water reservoir to fill up the Keurig, ants began pouring out of the machine. We then noticed that there were ants all over the kitchen including in the groceries we bought ruining the food. This would continue all weekend. When contacted, the owner shared a receipt of a pest control service that had been out on Thursday to spray but said they couldn’t come out again until Monday. They offered to refund some money but then never followed up on how to do that.
The house has many nice features and supplies that made our stay comfortable and pleasant. Great location, too, in a nice neighborhood! The host replied right away when I had a question. Five stars!
Cute house and great location in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of parking. Beautifully decorated with homey touches. The place easily accommodated all 6 adults in our party. There are air conditioning units in all bedrooms and in the family room. It was a very hot weekend and we were quite comfortable.
We would definitely stay there again.
