Arrived later Saturday (from KY) was able to check in but now power. By Sunday morning everyone up and down the beach got power, except Calypso Tower III. Communication about what was actually wrong and outlook was non existent. I had to go find property management to find out it was a software issue with the tower itself, but since weekend hard to get support, but trying. Finally got power late Monday evening. Owner gave me 50% off the room for three nights. Didn't include any taxes of fees though. I had to sleep with no AC, had to eat out for three days due to no power. Owner said that's all they could do, but offered an undisclosed discount on a future stay and early check in "if available". I even explained some friends of mine that stayed with a different owner, at Aqua, was given three free nights and their power was only out one day. Not to mention, big burn mark on ceiling over microwave, couch was stained and had hair all over it and chairs were stained too, plus cleaning up melted ice pool of water on the floor, from ice maker. People save and pay a lot of money for vacations these days and expect better. VRBO offered to move me to a different property on Sunday. Should have taken them up. Was trying to help owner and not pack up both. Knowing now what would happen, we should have. So much for trying to be kind to the owner. Was hoping it would pay off, but it didn't!
