Disappointed
This house had such potential, which was why we chose it.
1- When we arrived, there yard was overgrown and had trash in the front and back (beer cans/cigarette debris)
2- Inside temps hovered around 80degrees due to a thermostat controlled only via the owners' Nest app
3- Floors were scattered with dirt, hair, and even screws
4- Kitchen space could have been much better with pot holders, a baking sheet, dishwashing soap, and chairs rather than hard bar stools
5- Recently varnished floors made the upstairs rooms unusable and left an awful smell in the home; the heat upstairs was suffocating--only one ceilinf to move hot air
6- Beds were comfy and clean, but washer had soured rags left in it; dryer had sheets in it; suddenly I questioned the quality of what we were sleeping on
7- Bathrooms had nice towels, but no washcloths
8- Living room coffee table had screws coming up through top, which could be dangerous and cause injury.
We figured the owners were new to the business and possibly using a local service for the make-ready process. Knowing how to adjust the temperature as well as a quick contact text number would be helpful.
I left a detailed list of suggestions but worried it might not reach the owners if an outside source was involved. Since I never had a follow-up from them, I waited for this invitation to add a comment about our stay.
