Whale Tail Inn - Waterfront, Updated Home Near Sargent Beach

Welcome to the Whale Tail Inn!

This beautiful home was recently fully remodeled, and has everything you would need for your Texas Coastal Vacation! This 3 level home has a spacious luxury kitchen, living room, primary bedroom and full bathroom on the main level. There's an upstairs loft bedroom with a half bathroom, and a large ground level bedroom with an attached full bathroom.

The bed layout is as follows:

Ground Level Bedroom - 2 twin over twin bunk beds and 1 twin over full bunk bed, en suite full bathroom

Main Level - primary bedroom with king bed.. also a sleeper sofa in the living room, and a full bathroom on this level

Upstairs - loft style bedroom with 2 twin over twin bunk beds and en suite half bathroom.. please take note that this bedroom is up a small stair case, so not ideal for larger or taller individuals. Kids will LOVE it though!!

Outside, there is a large deck off of the main level where you will love relaxing with the ocean breeze! Under that, there is a nice yard with firepit and a great spot to grill the days' catch from the fishing pier! Don't forget to bring or catch some bait for the provided crab traps too!

There is also a laundry room available for guests to use on the ground level of the home.

The Whale Tail Inn is located in the same neighborhood as many of Sargent's restaurants and awesome food trailers. Bait Camp and boat ramps on the same street too! Sargent Beach is just a quick 5 or so minute drive away too!

There are 2 security cameras - one above the garage, facing the driveway, and one at the back of the house, facing the jet ski lift. The lift is off limits to guests. The cameras are for security purposes only and are not actively monitored during guest stays.

Cute place

The place is adorable and very spacious!! You can even see the beach from the very top room! The only big problem I had was how hot the water gets so don’t let little kids turn it on. It will Burn you. And the knobs are all mixed up. The cold is hot and hot is cold.. again this is the biggest and main concern/ problem. The deck was fantastic. The dock and hammock were amazing!! You could lay in a hammock and watch the kiddos fish and be apart of it all! The room down stairs is perfect for the bigger kids that may want a little privacy. Or if you have 2 small families going! The beds(mattresses, my 2nd problem) should be changed. My hip is bruised from sleeping on them as they have no cushion and it’s like sleeping on the deck all night. I absolutely loved the kitchen. Big and spacious and open so no yelling for people to come eat!! Other than those 2 problems with the water being a real issue we enjoyed this place and will definitely book again if we come back that way!! I definitely got my workout in climbing all stairs too!!
