Our one-of-a-kind renovated barn sits on 5 pristine acres and is located 3 miles from the centers of Washington Depot and Litchfield, classic, unspoiled towns first inhabited in the 1700s. Both towns and surrounding areas have retained their original charm while at the same time offering several elegant restaurants, shops, and destinations.

Our home is not viewable from the street and sits at the top of a hill 1/2 acre in from the sidestreet on which our driveway begins. The environment is extremely quiet and private and borders two working farms, one of which affords opportunities to interact with friendly horses.

The renovated barn is a sprawling triplex moved from its original location in 1987. There are two open and bright living and dining areas (the Great Room) with a granite fireplace, 8 floor to ceiling windows that face South and East, and a fully equipped, modern kitchen with Gaggenau Induction Stove, Miele Dishwasher, Fridge, Oven, and Microwave. The dining room table overlooks a wrap around deck with automated phantom screens for comfortable bug-free seating, lounging, or dining. The ensuite master bedroom/bath on the main floor is directly accessible to the deck and has floor to ceiling door and windows with beaming sunlight throughout the day. The master bathroom features a walk in shower with a view of the pool. Two guest bedrooms on the second floor are each equipped with queen size beds and ample storage space and privacy. The guest bathroom has a claw tub and walk-in shower with excellent water pressure. The salinated pool (unheated) is situated just paces from the back deck.

The furniture is contemporary, modern, and comfortable. There is a Blu Ray Player and access to AppleTV.
