Home away from home!

The only complaint we have about our stay is that it wasn't long enough! The apartment was clean, well-stocked, and incredibly comfortable (my husband got his first ever sleep score in the 90s!). The location was perfect for us - close to our daughter's university and walking distance to the zoo, the metro, Nat'l Cathedral, plus great shops and restaurants!

Great Week

Location, location, location! Followed very closely by how hospitable the hosts are. A nicely updated and thoughtfully furnished / stocked apartment. My dog and I had a good visit — look forward to returning.

No car needed

Very comfortable and clean accommodations and is accurately pictured in the listing. The host was helpful and quickly responded to my few questions. Close walk to the Metro Station and the zoo. I came in via Amtrak and the Red Line and it was an easy trip to the house. A great location for my visit to Washington!

Sparkling New, Clean and Excellent Location

Upscale appliances, counters, kitchenware, faucets & rain shower head. Everything was clean and looked brand new. Wi Fi, air conditioning, washer and dryer, all worked well. Although air conditioning was loud at times. The king bed was very comfortable. The pull out couch with queen was okay for our young adult daughter but prob could be uncomfortable for heavier adults. The basement space itself felt small to us (3 adults and a small dog) and especially the living area (couch) was not very comfortable for us in the evening - but my husband is very tall (6' 8") so it could be fine for others. There are some low beams he had to duck under :-) Overall I loved this basement apartment. The owners did a wonderful job of using space well and supplying all you would need - including water bottles, teas, plenty of towels, nice mugs and plates, Etc. The combination convection- microwave oven was cool and worked well for us. We stayed for 5 nights. Location is great! Felt very safe walking our dog in the neighborhood. It's a short walk to restaurants and the metro (5 min) and 15 minutes by metro subway to the National mall area. Wear good walking shoes! It's a large area. We walked to many (free!) museums and had a tour of the Capital. We also jumped on scooters (rent through Uber) and the Capital ride share bikes to go to the Lincoln Memorial and the White House. Beautiful city, clean and accessible! Such a great time! Loved our visit to DC! TY for offering this accommodation.
