Seawall Perch ~ Luxurious Resort Life Beach Getaway 1bd/1.5bath

When you book the Seawall Perch, you are booking our home away from home, and the view will take your breath away. You will be on the privately owned condominium side of the San Luis Resort Beachfront Hotel Spa and Conference Center. Key access is required at ALL entry points for added security. Directly from the condominium elevator, you can walk into the hotel lobby. You can shop, swim, eat, enjoy a cocktail, relax, walk down the Seawall, go to the beach, and even work out. You can enjoy all the San Luis Resort has to offer, including room service! Phydias is our resident macaw. He has been living at the hotel since 1991. He enjoys socializing with guests and giving "hello" and "goodbye" greetings. Meet him on your next visit!

Awesome Place to Stay

We truly enjoyed the stay here. Emplyees from resort were super friendly and made sure there was water for our pup after walk on beach. The dog park is very nice including benches in shade. All we needed in kitchen! Highly recommend Host answers right away for any questions

Thankful Thanksgiving

This property was perfect for our family’s Thanksgiving getaway. We had a small issue with a lock code during check in, but our host was quick to respond and make sure had everything we needed. The furnishings were comfortable, the view was amazing, and the kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast each morning, allowing us to leisurely enjoy the start to our day.

The views from all rooms were amazing. Key was a tad difficult at first- just pay close attention on your first attempt- but the owner responded IMMEDIATELY! Will go back again.

This condo is beautiful and it’s so pleasant to stay yet to be able to have a balcony and sit out and watch and listen to the ocean. It’s just quite relaxing. It would’ve been nice to have a complementary coffee packet and somebody wash but other than that, it was just divine , thank you for a wonderful time

Great resort

Fabulous location, resort amenities were great and staff was friendly and helpful. Check-in was last minute, which was a bit scary since we were driving all day to get there. You won’t even know the room number until day of. However, as long as you can go with the flow, everything worked perfectly.

Great location and view

Great location to relax or go out and enjoy Galveston Island. Private parking near the elvator was very convenient. Access to the San Luis amenities made it easy to relax at the heated pool, enjoy a variety of food options and get in a quick workout without leaving the property. We could tell the owners put a lot of effort into remodeling and redecorating to make it inviting and comfortable. Bed was comfortable with a great view. Tub/shower was cute but a little cramped for my tall husband to stand up and shower and a little tricky for my short legs to step out of; but we made it work. We'd definitely consider coming back.

Seawall Perch

The views and amenities make this place definitely worth it! The condo is very nice with amazing views. The only downside was the bathtub/ shower. It worked great as a bathtub but not so much as a shower. It's not made for tall people and there was no shower curtain so water got all over the floor. Besides that, we loved staying there. The amenities of the hotel were very nice. We enjoyed the pool and the service!

The unit was clean and had a great view. The chairs on the balcony off the living room need attention. The finish is worn almost completely off and the cushions should be replaced. The shower/bathtub is very difficult to get in and out of because of the height.Also need a bath mat because it was very slippery.

Just ok…

I’m going to start out on a high note and say that the pool on the property was the best part. The actual condo was easy to get to from the elevators and the view was nice. The bed in the bedroom was very comfortable. With all that being said, there were several bad things to point out. As son as we drove into the parking garage and up to the parking spot we were told to be in, someone was already parked there. We messaged the owners and asked what we should do at time about our parking and she never answered… got up to our condo and the first thing we noticed was how warm the condo was when we walked in and that there were THREE random refrigerators. Took up quite a bit of room. Looks like one of them didn’t work, one was a temp before the new one came in and then there was the new one. I feel like that should have been figured out before having guest stay. By 9:30 we were trying to get the couch beds pulled out and made up for our kids to sleep on and notice they didn’t have sheets or blankets on them. Looked around the whole condo and never found any to use in the closets, cabinets or drawers. No where did it say that we had to supply our own so we were confused. We messaged the owner and she never responded! The hotel side didn’t help us at all and would not loan us sheets. I proceeded to message the owner about thirty mins later and she FINALLY answered and told us where a key to the owners closet was. Pull out beds very uncomfortable and it was BRIGHT in the master.

Fantastic getaway from the city!

We chose Seawall Perch for our yearly Spring getaway from Dallas. We've stayed at the San Luis hotel many times, so we were very excited to find a condo in their facility. Just having the hotel, with all their activities and amenities available, was all we needed to make our decision. Seawall Perch was a great find - perfect size for two adults, although a family of 4 would find it roomy enough also. The condo location itself is perfect - right along the middle of the complex, immediately adjacent to the hotel. There is a private parking garage for the condominium side, complete with an assigned parking spot right across from the elevator doors! As other reviews mentioned, initial access to the garage and building is a bit tricky, with a few steps to figure out, especially if you've not used the Lockly Home app before. However, the Host Tricia was very responsive to our questions and we got the hang of using the fobs, phone app, and wristbands quickly. Inside, the condo decor is bright and beachy. Having 1.5 bathrooms is a plus and the master bath has a fantastic soaking tub/shower combo. Two balconies provide a wonderful view of the San Luis pool/grounds, as well as the gulf across the street. The unit has had some cosmetic updates, but needs a bit more attention to general maintenance - nothing major. Otherwise, we would highly recommend this property and would choose it again next time we're in Galveston!

Best condo in the area

The resort is loaded with amenities to fill your time with while on vacation and is just minutes from restaurants and other activities as well as friendly staff. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking to stay in Galveston!
