The owner was very easy to communicate with. She was very helpful when it was time to make a decision about whether or not we would stay there as we were offered an opportunity to stay elsewhere last minute. There was apparently some confusion with the VRBO app not confirming the stay, which is most definitely not the fault of the host. The town seems to be shutting down, but the area for the home seemed quiet.

I would not recommend this place at all. I had trouble checking in and I had to call VRBO to get assistance. There is one window air conditioning unit in the kitchen area that does not cool the two back bedrooms. And it was very hot during my stay. The WiFi is spotty at best. There was mold in the bathroom window sill, the bathroom door doesn’t close properly, there is no outlet to use a hairdryer. And the worst thing of all, the place has roaches. I would have sought other accommodations, but I was there on church business and I was gone from 5am to 8pm at Anson Prison where you can’t have a cell phone. So I had no time to make other arrangements. Stay here at your own risk!!

I had to call VRBO to get check in information as you were not answering me. Yes. I saw a roach in the kitchen. You may want to check with the pest control company. There is mold on the window sill in the bathroom. That is a health hazard as some people are highly allergic like me. There were personal items all over the house like someone lives there. The house is not properly cleaned. There is no outlet in the bathroom to plug in a hairdryer. I tried to use the coffee creamer and it was so old it was hard as a rock. It was very hot when we were there and the one air conditioner was not enough for the bedrooms. The bathroom door does not close all the way. The bedroom doors drag on the floor. You’re in Tampa and don’t know the conditions that exist there. As you see she said a roach, I sent her a message before she even arrived that i would give her code once she arrive, because my daughter change them out after each guest. This property although is an older built, I was up there and cleaned all the window stills, my insurance company stated there where no mold there, also my sister that oversee the property went the day before arrival and dusted and check everything out, three rooms has ceiling fans and one i have to replace. 2 fans plus a commercial fan is there, the commercial one will cool that whole back. Personal items should not affect your stay! We do stay there when we are in town ; common sense should tell a person that the owner can have whatever they want, this is my house not VRBO or theirs. If you find yourself uncomfortable somewhere you leave; because if it was as bad as she say, why did stay the whole entire time, never communicated any of this until after the fact, now wants a refund. Well sorry it don’t work like that, If you would have call and stated these issues and decided not to stay I would have gladly refunded her. My sister lives 5 minutes away she could have came over, showed her where the xtra towels are kept (brand new ones) got her an outlet for the bathroom and yes the door drags but if you lift it up it closes. A roach, it’s hot as she stated and sometimes they are in grocery bags. This lady wants to occupy someone home for free! The last conversation i had with her. I asked was everything good , she stated yes everything find, cool up front but the back was a little warm! i said do you see those fans , she said yes and it will probably cool off back there in a little while . Also, if the house has been closed off for a little while it’s going to get hot in there! Again common sense! Truly people like this need to go to hotels because like i told her i don’t have to rent it out all, it’s not going to make me or break me! I don’t owe a dime on my home. I’m sorry it didn’t meet her expectation, but she”s not the first to try this! i’m thankful my sisters, friend and neighbors, even other guests will give you a different review. So hopefully you can see the real picture as well.
