House looked clean but the neighborhood was really suspect. It was Halloween and a big football weekend and the activity in the area left us feeling uncomfortable

The house was very clean and nice. I didn’t realize the air conditioning used window units, but it kept the place very cool and was not an issue. There’s a really nice screened in porch.

Lovely stay

Very close to Troy University and the square. Very clean property. It is an older home but taken care of. We have already booked it for another stay!!! Great communication with property owner as well! Thank you!!!

Second trip to this home

This was our second trip to At Ease. The location of the home is very close to campus and the square. The home is clean and has great space for everyone! Communication with Deborah is easy!!!

Laid back and comfortable

No complaints about the stay very nice and well kept little secret! Very roomy each room has its own a/c unit where you are able to control your room temperature. Nice size kitchen with coffee maker , air fryer and microwave! Also has washer/dryer with products to incase you forgot to bring your own! I recommend to stay here if going to Troy,Alabama! Even neighboring town it’s worth the drive staying in this best kept secret home!

Check in was a breeze. Kitchen had everything we needed. Except kitchen chairs, we were a family of 10. Although we did find a table to use. Chair for a sit down family dinner would have been nice to have. All rooms had tv in it except 1 do know why not. Grass was a little high on our stay, maybe in future invest in concrete walkway. Driveway a little difficult to maneuver with the no parking on grass rules. Overall stay was good.

Thanks for your feedback. There were extra chairs there they were ordered and arrived just prior to your arrivall. They were located in the closet of the first bedroom however they were not unboxed

Pros: Sleeping arrangements & 2 bathrooms were great for a family of 7. The distance to Troy University was only a few miles, which was good. Cons: website needs to show more outside area of the neighborhood. The grass needed to be mowed. The neighbors created a loud disturbance with screaming/tire squealing out around 11pm. It probably doesn’t happen all the time. None of the appliances were used except the fridge, so can’t confirm if all worked. Decently clean house but recommend some deep cleaning & A/C window units filters changed.

Nice, but lacking

We were very impressed with the amount of bedrooms/beds to accommodate many people sleeping. However, none of my local family stayed overnight with us there because of the lack of seating in the living room. There’s just one very small futon, low to the ground, and no chairs (besides the two bucket ones in bedrooms better suited for kids). We were able to bring in some folded chairs in order to visit for a little while. There’s no kitchen table or chairs, either. We were just expecting to be able to have everyone sit around and visit, but they would’ve had to sit on the floor. Another issue we had was no hot water; the water in the 2 showers just barely got warm. Finally, the location IS very close to campus and centrally located in Troy, but the area where the house sits is surrounded by houses that are run-down and streets crammed with vehicles. People walked by all hours of the night with pants sagging to their knees and cursing. Had this place not sat higher up away from the street and had a fence around it (but the fence when closed does have a huge hole in the front), and had the locks not seemed secure, we wouldn’t have felt safe saying here. As it was, we stayed, and were fine, but we didn’t feel safe at first. All that being said, the owner is probably the nicest, most helpful person I’ve ever dealt with. She very patiently helped us when we locked ourselves out (we felt we needed to sleep with the screen door locked, too) and when the TV had no signal.
