We loved this gorgeous farm and farm house. We originally were to stay in a the one room cabin but they had a water main break and offered us this lovely four bedroom for no upcharge! We greatly appreciated the kindness and peace and quiet :)Lots of great fishing too!

Lovely Rustic Cabin

My spouse and I specifically stayed here with the intention of kayaking the river back to their dock, then biking back up the nearby bike trail back to retrieve our car, drive to dinner in Bedford, and head back to the farm for a well-earned night's sleep. ...AND OUR PLAN WORKED! Many thanks to Adrienne and her partner for being such excellent hosts and stewards of a truly gorgeous property. We will definitely be back!

Juniata River Retreat

My partner and I enjoyed our 2 night stay in the River Cabin at River Mountain Farm. The cabin is teeny, nothing fancy but cozy and just as listed. Great shower in bathroom and Starbucks k-cups each morning. We had a straight shot past the barn and shed to the river where we took out 2 of the kayaks available and I caught 7 fish early Sunday morning. I didn’t want to leave the tranquility of this little slice of heaven. Would love to go back sometime!

If you’re looking for little house on the prairie this is for you. I should have read the instructions better, like bringing some food and the drive into the property. I drive my Kia Optima and it’s not built for those roads, just took it slow and it was fine. No kitchen but there is a gas grill outside. Nice little kayak trip up river, not hard, about a mile. If you love fish this would be your place. I had one whole day where I didn’t say a word to anyone…it was magical for this introvert to get lost.
