The cabin is a great little space to relax and the lake is wonderful. The host is very accommodating and showed up quickly to fix an issue with the water. Will definitely come back.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, thank you for being such great guests.
Wonderful location, easy to get around. Pond was nice to relax and do a little fishing. House backs up to a dairy farm, so there is some noise when they wash their trucks, no wi-fi but actually kinda nice to unplug, just beware, mattress could be a little softer. But nitpicking aside amazing spot and would return for sure

We are so glad you had a wonderful relaxing stay at Homestead. We look forward to your booking with us again soon.
We could not have enjoyed our stay more. The house feels a lot bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside and was very clean. The set up really worked well for what we needed. We loved the outside area as well. The seclusion and private pond were amazing. Hoping to come back soon with the kids! Thanks for everything!!

We are so glad you had such a great stay. We look forward to you booking with us for your next visit.
Really cute cabin, albeit not the easiest to find at first. Recommended you check in while it’s still light out! Loved the atmosphere and was great proximity to hiking and downtown Nashville, IN. Overall we liked the place, but gave it 4 stars just bc of the bed quality. The mattress is old and springy, and doesn’t offer much support. Neither myself or my partner slept all that well. For the price and for the effort put into making it homey, a nice bed would go a long way to providing value. Otherwise a great stay and friendly check-in process!

Thank you for staying with us. We look forward to your booking with us for your next visit.
The cabin was clean and updated. The lake being a few steps off the front porch was also a great addition! Although we didn’t get to enjoy the cabin as much as we would have liked (we were there for graduation weekend), I’d say over all the stay was great. I would definitely like to come back again and just spend the weekend on the property relaxing. The only downside is it’s right next to a dairy farm and it does smell at time, but it was nothing that ruined our stay. Would definitely recommend this place. It’s absolutely beautiful in Brown County.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Homestead. It is actually one of the largest dairy farms in Indiana. All over the county you will see their black and white cows. They have leased almost every field in our county. Super nice people. We look forward to you booking with us for your next visit.
Overall was a great little cabin. Daughter is a student at IU and this was an inexpensive alternate to hotel rooms that were thru the roof for the weekend. Its a bit of a drive down crooked rural roads, but a beautiful part of the country. Would be great access to Nashville.
Peaceful and remote, but the check in process is a bit onerous. You have to go to the Property Manager office to pick up the key and drop it back off, but it is 5 miles in the wrong direction from the cabin, so adds at least 20 minutes to the drive from Bloomington on check in/out day. Also, they have written directions on a small map to find the place. Made me feel like a pirate with a buried treasure map. Less than ideal when it is dark out and you are tired trying to find street signs at 55 mph. Give a GPS coordinate, at least, or an address. I ended up dropping a pin to navigate to/from once I got there, made it 10x easier.
No wifi, but Verizon had great service. Put in a Starlink, and make the front door a Bluetooth code, eliminate the keys, and it would be perfect.
The place was super clean, the little pond was beautiful, the bathroom was modern, kitchen would be great.
Despite the key process, I will book here again, because its worth it.

We are so glad you enjoyed your time at Homestead Cabin. And of course very rual rds. As to the map, we usually mention not to follow map, which is why it has the turn for turn directions and the address at bottom of that page. Gps is not always reliable here, but glad it worked out for you. With over 105 cabins that we manage in this area, we find keys always reliable ( no batteries to srop working at the most inconvenient time!). We could maybe help find a cabin a little closer to Bloomington for your next visit and if booking direct with us save you even more $. Thank you for staying with us and we look forward to your nexy visit.
