Welcome to one of the nicest oceanfront condos on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Our corner unit is a two bedroom, two bath, oceanfront located near Wright Brothers National Memorial. It's also walking distance to some of the island's best restaurants. If you want relaxation and comfort, the large private balcony offers the sound of the waves and an unobstructed view of the Atlantic.

Loaded with comforts and amenities, First Flight Retreat is not only the finest choice in condos, our unit is well appointed and has the best views on the beach.

Workout facility and game room on premises. This year (2024), our on-site pool is complete! The pool typically opens Memorial Day weekend.

Dog friendly for a friendly dog. Pet Beach Time 6PM to 9AM from Memorial Day to Labor Day (Kill Devil Hills mandate); offseason 24x7 pups rule these quiet beaches! For anyone who's scrambled shoeless across the blazing sand in the summer, it makes sense.

Absolutely perfect!

Everything could not have gone more smoothly and wonderful. Marilyn is great about giving all the details and answering any questions promptly. The condo is actually BETTER than the photos show. It was immaculate with beautiful decor. The beds are really comfortable compared to other VRBO rentals. Along with tvs in the bedroom along with an amazingly clear tv in the living room. The condo is in a great location to so many restaurants, shops, and other attractions. And of course the view is gorgeous! I got up at sunrise each day and we got to see lots of dolphins on multiple mornings. This was a trip for my mother who was in heaven each day spending hours on the balcony taking it all in. We have actually already reserved this condo for next year we loved it so much. I can’t imagine staying anyplace else going forward. Thanks for a wonderful trip.

The Perfect Condo

We come back to this location & condo every year. The condo is beautiful & clean & meets our needs perfectly. It is ocean front & easy to access. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the ocean view. Also the property host is easy to communicate with and keeps you up to date before your arrival. We love it here!

The pictures on the Vrbo site don’t do this condo justice. It is so nicely decorated. Condo is clean, bright and comfortable with a great view of the ocean. It was exactly what we wanted! And Marilyn was quick to solve any issues and questions. She also made good restaurant recommendations! Thanks for making our anniversary vacation so very special!

Why they chose this property

I've been enjoying the Outer Banks for thirty years. I truly believe that this is the nicest stretch of beach today and it's close to some of the best restaurants on OBX. If you like the outdoors, besides the great water activities head for Jockey's Ridge for sunset, take a walk through the woods at the Nature Conservancy at Nags Head Woods or go birding at Bodie Island Lighthouse. I hope that you find our place to be fresh, comfortable and as relaxing as we do.
