The cabin was very clean and tidy upon arrival. Our first night was on 12/26 and we were delighted to see there was a Christmas tree up!All of the rooms were excellent, providing plenty of space and all but one have an onsuite bathroom. The hot tub was a huge plus. It really helped soothe the sore joints and muscles after a day on the mountain. The host is wonderful to work with! The next time we are in Snowshoe, this will be the place to stay!
The cabin is beautiful my family really enjoyed it plenty of space rooms are clean and nice we had a great time the only thing that is negative is the internet/wife if terrible no signal at all and also some of the kitchen cookware pots/pans had alittle rust the grill is somewhat worn but honestly aside from that the place is gorgeous we had one of our most memorable weekends the fire place the outside deck the firepit everything beautiful the host answered all my questions would definitely recommend
We arrived for a weekend of fun at the VRBO we rented. The house was beautiful and inviting. We enjoy family game nights and there were brand new board games and a nice bunch of welcoming snacks and beverages. We all enjoyed our trip very much.
The cabin and property manager were very nice and accommodating, but our car slid on the icy driveway into an unmarked ditch along the private lane. We couldn’t find a wrecker to lift our car out of the ditch for a day and a half. We completely missed the two days of skiing we had planned for our visit. We had some very unhappy kids who were disappointed that they missed the chance to ski. One improvement would be for the host to have the driveway plowed each morning, early, when renters are staying at the home. Also, marking the driving lane with reflectors would assist drivers in dark and low visibility conditions. We had to pay the wrecker 250.00 cash to pull our car out of the ditch and the car is being serviced for an alignment which is a minimum of another 200.00 to assess the damage incurred while on the cabin property. We are thankful there were no physical injuries.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for your kind words about our team.
We are very thankful that no one was physically injured — that is always the most important thing. Your stay occurred during the most severe winter storm of 2026 so far, which brought a combination of ice, freezing rain, and snow to the area. During extreme weather events like this, conditions can change rapidly, and ice can develop even shortly after plowing.
This cabin is accessed via a private mountain lane, and snow removal is performed as conditions allow during active storms. Unfortunately, the continuous freezing rain and ice during this event made travel especially difficult throughout the mountain. For this reason, we strongly recommend winter-capable vehicles and extra caution when driving in winter mountain conditions.
We understand how disappointing it must have been to miss planned ski days, especially with children, and we appreciate your feedback regarding lane markers and plowing timing. These suggestions will be taken into consideration for future improvements.
Thank you again for staying with us and for taking the time to provide your feedback.
Everything was very nice. Plenty of room and everything you could possibly think of to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner in an unfamiliar kitchen!! The property manager was the absolute best. We had some issues with the WiFi and she brought us her personal DVD player and a variety of DVD’s. From start to finish she answered all of our questions and was fantastic
