This was our second stay. The house is so well taken care of. Very clean and the kitchen is well supplied. Updated bathroom and laundry room. Very comfortable beds!
Beautiful home with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. We went to the races at Chicagoland Speedway and would stay here again for sure if we go again.
We were in town visiting family. The location is great. Its a quiet neighborhood with easy access to shopping, etc. For those traveling with older folks, the stairs are very steep. The kitchen had everything we needed. Although you need to bring your own wine glasses. The bathroom is very nicely done. We would recommend the home and will probably stay here again.
Great historic home near the center of Plainfield. Kitchen and bathroom were well-stocked, everything was clean, furnace worked great. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Situated in a cul-de-sac so minimal traffic noise. The host was easy to contact and extremely friendly. Easy parking off the main road. We will be coming back for sure. Highly recommended!
Adorable historic house in a cute neighborhood! Although it's an older home, it's been updated and worked well for us! Also, there is some newer living room furniture than shown in the listing picture - there's 2 comfy chairs in addition to the couch, so that was a nice surprise. Note to parents: the upstairs floors creak (expected in an older home), so if you have super light-sleeper with you -especially a baby-.. might not be the best fit for you. The stairs creak quite a bit, so it's not possible to silently sneak downstairs during nap time lol - luckily our 4 year old is a heavy sleeper and didn't wake up from the noise at all. If you don't have a baby to worry about waking up, the creaking won't bother you at all. It's super cute and clean and walkable to charming downtown Plainfield. Lots of stores, restaurants, and coffee shops around, too. Weeks later, my daughter is still talking about how much she loves the "red house" and wants to go back :) Highly recommend!
Everything that was as described, with more little touches that made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable.
Lovey historic home, immaculately clean and well stocked with everything we needed for a home away from home.
I loved staying here! The historic house was clean and well appointed. I loved learning a little about the history of the house. Only a couple blocks from the nice downtown of Plainfield, we could walk to dinner at night and coffee in the morning. I highly recommend this rental!!

Best guest! Respectful and clean. Great communication. Would host again anytime!
Small, historic home. The kitchen has quality pots and pans. Even though there were just a few, i was able to cook a turkey. And prepare a full holiday meal for the three of us.
We absolutely loved the house and the location of the home. It was a very short walk to the charming downtown of Plainfield. If you are extremely tall, have large feet, or are out of shape I might be weary of the stairs;) Otherwise this house is a gem!
We loved our stay here. It's a lovely historic house within walking distance to charming downtown Plainfield. Very clean and includes lots of extras. We needed a full kitchen and this place delivered. Communication is fabulous. Beware very steep stairs with only bathroom downstairs and beds upstairs. This may be deal breaker for some. We enjoyed our stay immensely and def would stay again.
