Writers, painters, musicians or just those in need of deep relaxation, here is your perfect setting. From the upstairs balcony view the peaceful green pastures which frame the amazing views of the mountains, Lake Arenal as well as the active Arenal Volcano. Soak in the large bathtub overlooking a pond and a huge bamboo forest. Open kitchen/dining/living space allows for friends and family to relax, enjoy the views and cook on the 6 burner gas stove. Then gather together in the outdoor Rancho for pizza and cocktails. Close by are many special attractions; hot springs in the sweet town of La Fortuna, live music, fine dining, yoga/meditation/massage, hiking, swimming, kayaking and fishing. I took my first trip to Costa Rica in 2022 and fell in love. Purchasing this home was a big surprise - I couldn't say "no" as it was so beautiful and inspiring to me. My short visit had my creative juices coming alive like never before which was surprising to me since I live in one of the creative centers of the US - Santa Fe, New Mexico. My goal is to retire here, but in the meantime, I'm offering it to you!

Why they chose this property

My brother lives 5 miles away and he will be your on site host. But what I love, and so does he, about the Lake Arenal area is it's coolness and lush jungle atmosphere. Also, the sweet town of Nuevo Arenal is so fun and has all the amenities you need. There is live music most nights and many restaurants with amazing food. I like that La Fortuna is only a half hour away and my favorite is to go have a long soak in one of the many hot springs and a delicious sushi meal; and oh... the chocolate shop is a must! On Lake Arenal at the beach in Nuevo Arenal you can paddle board, kayak and fish. There are many amazing yoga and meditation teachers there from around the world.

What makes this property unique

This property is uniquely private. It sits on 3 acres and you can barely see the farmers nearby. Being up high, I often feel I am touching the clouds, looking into the eyes of the incredible gliding birds flying high and/or standing in the middle of the many rainbows passing by. It is quiet and so very peaceful. The interior is simple but just enough comfort. The outdoor Rancho is a heavenly place to set up your paints or computer for writing.
