About the host
Hosted by Arthur Tanwangco
Hello Friends!
Welcome to our home!
We hope we're able to pamper you while at Mountainside. Michael and I are honored that you're here!
Entertaining is our love language as we both came from the hospitality industry. Up until recently, we were both working at some of the DC areas most popular restaurants. Michael, who grew up in Montgomery County MD, was the Director of Operations of Knightsbridge Restaurant Group (Rasika, The Bombay Club, Bindaas, Etc.) and Arthur, born and raised in the Philippines was hosting Private Events and is an alumnus of the fabled The Inn at Little Washington.
We have since then started our dog daycare, boarding and training business, Five Pups where we poured our love for hospitality to our four legged babies. It is a passion project for Arthur.
Pivoting to Mountainside, we wanted this experience for our guests to be part of a memory. Every details has been painstakingly selected to evoke an emotion. From the sound of a knock on a solid wood door, to the beauty of the birch floors harvested from the Appalachian Trail.
Our wish is for Mountainside is to be a part of a happy memory for our guests.
Why they chose this property
Having both worked in hectic restaurants. We wanted a place where we could disconnect. Mountainside provided us a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of our daily routines. We would hope that our guests would feel the same way.
