Bleach odor was over-powering and gave us a headache!!Check-in process was not communicated via VRBO app as promised which required me to contact them via multiple phone calls and emails, creating undue stress. (Truly not a VRBO rental :/ )Non-early check-in (1 hour would’ve been nice), which a hotel would’ve allowed, and this place was more like a long-stay hotel, not a VRBO. One staffer said “yes” to our room being ready, then retracted the offer.What’sApp preferred communication method but that was never made clear.Spanish preferred language, which my husband has the ability to speak, thankfully; but, again, language barrier not communicated up front.Modern design in room.Mattress soft.Bedding clean.Fully stocked kitchen.Nespresso machines with espresso pods, not regular coffee. Two espresso pods provide for two nights and two people so either someone goes without or one MUST buy more at Publix.Smallish and so-so cold frig.Cheap furniture.Publix too far to walk (we didn’t have a car), but it was a wall-stocked store.Walk to Haulover park and beach was close but walking across the bridge, we encountered and angry, houseless man who yelled at us, threatened us and we feared we’d be pushed into busy traffic … it was scary.Four guests stood outside our door in the hall, talking loudly until I asked them to give us some quiet to sleep.Not an accommodation that suited our two-day stay waiting for our cruise to depart.
