Located on the edge of the Olympic National Forest and base of Mt. Walker, this cozy 400 sq. ft. cabin is your perfect private getaway. Just off HWY 101 nestled in the woods on 2+ acres, you can listen to the rushing sounds of the Big Quilcene River below from your loft deck while sipping your morning cup of coffee/tea. Plenty of light and surrounded by nature with a forest view from every window. Rain or shine, tranquility and rest for the soul! The space This charming cabin is about 5 years old with a beautiful all-wood interior, creating a warm and peaceful space. The main entry level includes an intimate seating area with sofa and comfy recliner, perfect for curling up with a good book or for a relaxing snooze. Books, maps, and local information brochures are provided and board games can be found inside the leather ottoman. Plus, a small electric fireplace creates a calming ambiance (and extra heat!).
The Dutch-blue kitchen includes a fridge, stove, sink and is fully stocked with all the necessary cookware and utensils you need for preparing meals. Leading to the kitchen is an island/dining bar with two stools, which also serves as an ideal place to sit and write your latest novel or pull out your laptop and check how many likes you got on social media. ;-)
A winding staircase leads to the upstairs sleeping loft which provides a comfortable queen-sized bed, nightstands, reading lamps, and a dresser-cabinet with room for your luggage and extra blankets. The sliding glass doors open to a spacious deck. Here you can relax on an outdoor lounge chair or sit at the bistro set with your favorite beverage, enjoying the view of the forest as you listen to the sounds of the river below. Leave your tensions behind and rediscover that life is still good.
**We use the Airbnb enhanced cleaning protocol. For additional safety, we have chosen to keep the Red Cabin vacant for at least 24 hours before each new guest check-in and after each guest check-out. So we can all rest easy! Other things to note ~INTERNET: We provide a Verizon wireless jet pack 8800L (a mobile hotspot) on the 4G LTE network. The MIFI signal and speed are reliable for 30 gigabytes of use. Beyond that, it slows down to 3G speeds. You still have unlimited data, just slower. (We ask that you download any movies you want to watch onto your computer BEFORE you leave home.) ~ARRIVAL: When first pulling into your guest parking spot, you may hear a radio playing. Occasionally our neighbor up the road will boost it up to full volume when working in his garage. (Hope you like 60's-70's music!) Be assured, all is quiet down in the cabin. ~SMOKING: We do not allow smoking of any kind (this includes cannibis) in the cabin nor on the property . We live in and are surrounded by forest and are keenly aware of potential forest fires. Discarded cigarette butts are one of the leading causes of wildfires, plus are toxic to wildlife. Thank you!
