Some minor Ceiling damage due to recent storms, but no leaking. see posted pic. Enjoy a cozy town center located non- smoking unit, with a queen size bed, full size futon and a single bed. High speed Wifi, TV, wood stove. Large granite stone shower in bath, kitchen has full size stove, oven, refrigerator/freezer, blender, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, garbage disposal. Conveniently located in center of town within easy walking distance of restaurants/bars, shopping, movies, shuttle lines, etc. well behaved pets welcome!!
Linens, gel soap in dispensers, liquid dish soap, paper towels, sponges, dish towels and toilet paper are provided in condo. Long term/Monthly seasonal rates available, send inquiry for more details.

Mammoth Lakes getaway

Wife, the dog and I booked this property for a hiking getaway. This places was way better than staying in a hotel. Plenty of room for a studio, kitchen was great for cooking and it was a very short walk from several restaurants and grocery store. Best part is it is pet friendly. We were very impressed how clean it was being a pet friendly spot (no hair or odors!) We plan on staying near again for future trips.

Great Family and Pet Friendly Unit

Our family of four and our pup had a fabulous time at this unit! It was very cute and suitable for all of us. Parking was very easy and spacious. Having access to the hot tub was also a treat. Great location and the unit had all necessary amenities/cookware for cooking meals. We will definitely come back again!

Great place!

This was the perfect 'base camp' for me and my friend. It was very clean. The kitchen is modern and well-furnished. It's small, but you already knew that from the description. Definitely a studio. The deck looks onto a small grass area and is shaded by big pine trees. It looks onto another condominium complex, but it was just fine. The queen bed was super-comfortable and the sheets and quilt were soft and cozy. It's very close to what I think you'd call the 'older' section of town. Definitely walking distance to Vons and a ton of restaurants. I'd probably say not walking distance to "the Village", however (unless you're hale and hearty!). The owner was very nice. She contacted me on the day of arrival and made sure we had a smooth entry. All in all, a great find!

The mysterious missing keys

Let me start with the positive, great location, property as pictured/described, and in the end we had a place to stay. Now the bummer. I inquired before booking about checking in at 1 since listing states times were flexible, the owner let me know she would have the cleaning crew clean the unit first and that we would be able to check in at 1 or very close to 1. Once we booked, I had to inquire every step of the way and the owner did not want to communicate through VRBO after booking. I didn't receive check in instructions until after I requested the day before. Then the day of, as a reminder I messaged at 10 am of our 1pm checkin. She didn't seem to remember, said she would contact the cleaning crew and get back to me which she did not. We arrived at 1 in town to just sit in a parking lot. I messaged again to see when we could go to the condo, she said she hadn't heard from the crew, then at 2 she texted me saying there was a problem, I responded "message me through VRBO", and she said that could be awhile, so I called which was a big mistake. She told me there were no keys, the cleaning crew could not get in, and that she was driving 300 miles from LA. She became very aggitated at this point. I asked if she had called a locksmith and she told me she would be talking to one if she wasn't talking to me. Things went south quickly after I said, if there are no keys we would like a refund. She said, "Well that's not going to happen, go ahead and call VRBO" which I did since we didn't want to do business with this property. Halfway through our hourlong phone call with VRBO, we received a message saying the keys were in the unit. My husband called to see what happened and couldn't get a word in edgewise. She was very upset and said I was rude, and later in a VRBO message said I lied to VRBO. I was only trying to figure out if we had a place to stay with keys and just relaying what she had told me to VRBO. Anyway, I was worried from the start about booking this listing since there are no current reviews. I thought it would be ok since the old ones were positive. I have stayed in many VRBO's and have never had any issues or left anything but good reviews. I felt obligated to submit this review as a warning to future renters. This was an unfortunate, confusing situation and hopefully a one off, but just beware when an owner or manager wants to communicate outside of VRBO.

quick trip to Mammoth

This property was as described -- small but quite efficiently configured. It was a great home base for a visit to Devil's Postpile, Bode, and several lakes.

Spent Labor Day weekend here. It worked perfectly for what we needed. Parking was right by the building and the condo/apt was located near town. It was clean and both the kitchen and bathroom are remodeled. There was construction or something going on upstairs. But it was during the day and we weren’t bothered since we were usually out. It has an electric stove and a wood burning stove. Overall would stay here again. Dog friendly also. We really liked it. It was close to everything in town and it was very easy to find. Communication was great. I received emails regarding check in and information many days in advance. Very courteous!

This is a remodeled unit that is sunny, quiet, perfect for small family or couples. Wood floors, granite stone shower, Full kitchen, and located in flat area of town so no icy hills to drive up, and within walking distance of all town amenities

What makes this property unique

well-behaved Pets are OK, additional pet fee. outside parking so large size SUV's are OK, shuttle stop at driveway, ski area less than 2 minutes drive from condo. condo parking lot plowed in the early morning if there is heavy snow.
