About this property

Idyllic farmhouses on a 1.5ha estate with amazing valley views and private pool

Escape to the idyllic beauty of the Tarn et Garonne with our two beautifully renovated stone-built villas, nestled on the edge of a rolling valley and surrounded by 1.5 hectares of  private land.

Each gite features a private terrace, perfect for taking in the breathtaking view and enjoying a glass of wine as you soak up the serene surroundings. Relax by the pool, or take advantage of the many activities offered in our games room.

Altogether we can accommodate up to 14 people including children, with 12 of the beds suitable for adults.

Our larger villa, Le Prunier, invites you to discover its warm and relaxing atmosphere. The spacious kitchen with a table that seats ten is perfect for gathering and sharing meals together. The living room, complete with a TV with Chromecast for streaming and a Bluetooth speaker, offers a cozy retreat for your entertainment needs. Both the kitchen and living room feature wood burners to keep you warm during cooler months, while the stone walls help maintain a pleasant temperature in the summer. A double bedroom on the ground floor features an en-suite bathroom.

Upstairs, you'll find a spacious twin room, a large double room, a shared bathroom and our family room. The shared bathroom has been newly renovated in 2023, providing a fresh and modern feel. The family room, which boasts a double bed, day bed, large en suite bathroom, and a table and chairs by the window, is perfect for relaxing and admiring the breathtaking views of the valley. The en suite also features a unique set of stairs that lead to an additional mezzanine bedroom nestled in the eaves of the pigeonnier - a whimsical and quirky space that's perfect for one or two kids.

Each bedroom offers stunning views of the valley that are sure to take your breath away.

La Grappe serves as a lovely supplementary annex to Le Prunier, offering additional accommodation for guests seeking more space or couples seeking a private and intimate retreat.

As you enter the air-conditioned kitchen/diner, fully equipped for four people, you'll be greeted with a beautiful view of the valley through the windows. Relax in the cozy double en-suite bedroom on the ground floor, complete with a ceiling fan and a radiator for your comfort.

Descend the staircase to the lower ground floor, which also features air conditioning and a spacious king size double bed with a large en-suite shower/WC. An external door leads out to a small patio area with a table and chairs, perfect for enjoying an early morning cup of coffee or a glass of wine at the end of the day.

Outside, the private terraces attached to each villa are the perfect spot to soak up the natural beauty of the valley while enjoying a delicious meal at the dining table. With soaring eagles and graceful buzzards overhead, majestic deer grazing in the fields, and playful hares darting across the landscape, you'll feel truly immersed in the natural beauty of the south west of France.

In addition, you have access to 1.5 hectares of land including a private 10x5m swimming pool, a large field (formerly used for camping), wildflower meadow, and a games room with ping pong, table football, pool, cards, board games, darts and more.

About the host

In December 2020, we took on the beautiful Le Domaine du Chasselas and have made it our home. While we live on the property in the converted barn, the gites are completely detached buildings, ensuring that our guests have plenty of privacy and space to enjoy their stay. As we both work from home during the day, we're always here to help answer any questions you may have. However, if what you need is some peace and quiet, you'll find plenty of that here too. When we're not working, we're busy thinking of ways to make our guests feel even more at home. We want your stay to be truly unforgettable, and we're always happy to provide recommendations for the best local sights and activities. Our little family consists of Sam and Chris, along with our beloved Hugo the Mini Schnauzer and Maude the Cockapoo. We can't wait to welcome you to our little slice of paradise and share the beauty and tranquility of Le Domaine du Chasselas with you. See you soon!

What makes this property unique

What sets Le Domaine du Chasselas apart is its unyielding connection to the land's history and nature, while providing the utmost in modern comforts. Standing on the same bedrock that forms the backdrop of our stunning cliffs, the villas gaze out over an olive grove that sweeps down the valley beneath. Each villa, carved from ancient stone, offers an enchanting blend of rustic charm and contemporary amenities, ensuring your stay is as comfortable as it is captivating. The uniqueness of Le Domaine extends to our vibrant ecosystem. A lively pond brimming with wildlife adds an element of excitement and discovery, and for the keen observer, encounters with deer, hares, and even the occasional boar can be a thrilling part of your stay. The skies above our estate also play host to myriad birds, including owls, eagles, and buzzards, adding an extra touch of majesty to our property. From Le Prunier, a picturesque path leads you to the edge of our domain, where a breathtaking view of the gites awaits, framed by our olive grove and the tranquil pond. This view serves as a testament to the harmony between our villas and the natural beauty that surrounds them. Surrounding our private pool, you'll find a tastefully curated variety of plants that creates a lush and soothing atmosphere. The vibrant blooms of geraniums, passionflower, and the calming hues of lavender mingle effortlessly with textured grasses, hardy sedums, and the architectural elegance of flax and a Phoenix palm. This diverse botanical ensemble around the pool, combined with the tranquil waters, provides an inviting oasis for relaxation and leisure.
