Our meticulously renovated 60-year-old barn offers a unique blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, tailored to elevate your travel experience. While steps away to local attractions, dining, and adventure, revel in the serenity and seclusion that our haven provides. Enjoy visiting our farm animals, a private firepit area, a private covered hot tub, games, records, Smart TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, and books for entertainment.

Kitchen:



We offer a fully-stocked kitchen providing you with pots/pans/cutting board, plates/cups/bowls, a stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot, and toaster. In season, enjoy farm-fresh eggs from our lovely hens. Just bring your food and beverages of choice to settle right in! We have a bar and four barstools located in the kitchen. We also provide tv trays and a covered picnic table, or you can enjoy eating outside by the firepit. There is a Blackstone grill for your private use and our local coffee is provided for you, as well. 



Sleeping Arrangements:



Accommodating up to six guests, The Barn Owl offers a serene escape. The private master bedroom, nestled upstairs, boasts a tranquil wooded view. Sink into the plush king-sized bed complete with sheets, pillows, and a cozy comforter. Extra blankets are on hand for added comfort, while adjustable lamps cater to your preferred ambiance.



Adjacent to the bedroom, discover an exclusive loft area housing a queen-size pull-out sofa, offering additional private sleeping space. Downstairs, a sleeper sofa with a full-size mattress awaits, perfect for lounging and unwinding with a good book. Ideal for families or accommodating guests, create a personalized sleeping haven for your loved ones or friends.

Experience luxury at The Barn Owl with a master bathroom featuring a single shower and commode. Indulge in a spa-like ambiance enhanced by multiple shower heads and a stunning stone floor. Treat yourself to the ultimate relaxation

Enjoy a hassle-free vacation at The Barn Owl! There are no cleaning fees, and we don't expect you to tidy up before leaving. If you need cleaning supplies, they're readily available on-site. Just ensure any moved furniture is placed back and your personal items are taken along. Plus, for your convenience, a washer and dryer are accessible during your stay.

We stayed for 1 night and it was absolutely wonderful! Our kids loved the animals on the property and being able to adventure in the area. Minutes away from the Gorge, Natural bridge and Miguel’s Pizza. The home was very clean and as expected I have zero complaints. 1 night was not enough, we will definitely be back. I would highly suggest this to everyone!

We had a fantastic stay at this cute little barn! Lauren was very responsive to all of our needs. I traveled with my husband who has had back surgery and finding a comfortable bed is always a challenge, but this bed was very comfortable. The pullout couch is definitely for kids, as it's your typical pullout couch. We had some nice goodies waiting for us when we arrived that was a nice touch! My 6 year old begged me to stay and said he would, "pay me 3 if we could stay just 3 more days." Haha! So needless to say, we had a wonderful stay!

Cabin was awesome. There is so much to do on the property to include pet farm animals, follow trails to waterfalls, a hot tub, playground and more. I wish we could’ve stayed longer. We used it as a place to rest from the activities we had planned in the area. But this cabin could be a destination all by itself. Definitely recommend.

The absolute best stay near RRG—already planning our return!The Barn Owl at Hooting Owl Homestead is easily one of the best rentals we’ve ever stayed in. The host, Lauren, is incredibly responsive and has curated a space that is stylish, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We were especially impressed by the hot tub, which was relaxing and clean, and the backyard bonfire was a huge highlight of our trip.The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed, making it so easy to settle in. The proximity to the Gorge climbing and Natural Bridge is unbeatable, but there are also so many amazing things to discover just by exploring the property itself. All of the different stays available here look lovely, and meeting the friendly animals was the icing on the cake. We’ve decided we might just take all of our vacations here from now on!

Quick Trip

Just a short drive to Miguel’s, natural bridge & the general store, the Barn Owl at Red River Gorge is a MUST! We were welcomed with local coffee, farm fresh eggs and local honey really made our check-in extra special.
