Other things to note
The paved and very well maintained mountain road is steep and windy, it’s one of the steepest paved roads in the country with a 15% grade, but it is only 3 miles to the property. The first 2 hairpin turns are the sharpest turns. It’s common courtesy in CO to pull over once you can or once you see a pull off in order to let local drivers , who may be in a hurry to pass around you. So once you get to the property be please be sure to tell all your friends that you just drove up one of the steepest and most beautiful paved roads in the country. Well done ... relax and enjoy. Also please note this road is one of the most famous elevation training grounds for world class athletes, you will often see people biking hiking and running up this road for conditioning and fitness purposes at the highest level. Be on the watch for athletes on the road during the day and perhaps you may have just seen an Olympic level athlete.
The upstairs is occupied by the lovely host and her little doggie. Kat travels quite often so she may or may not be home but she will be sure to provide you with everything you need and is your onsite host. There is one little doggie on the property, his name is Joey he is a bit timid and shy and may bark upon arrival but will settle down once all are settled. He is often to be seen outside with Kat on hikes or runs. Kat is the host and manager and is here to make your stay welcoming.
