If you're looking for a quintessential waterfront kiwi bach experience in the sheltered Bay of Islands, this is your place!
What's not to love about this spot... the home was a beautiful balance of modern living and classic bach life... everything you need, and nothing you don't. We descended here for a family celebration (12 of us) and it was super comfortable with lots of space for everyone.
It's incredibly private, in part thanks to the stunning location, and also the beach access (make sure you check the tides so you don't try and arrive an hour or so either side of high tide) :)
We made good use of the kayaks, paddle boards and complimentary beach towels (the water is literally on your doorstep).
Lots of fridge space and a great kitchen made home catering easy and Dave (our host) was a real gem.
We definitely hope to be back one day!

Fantastic cottage with everything we needed, including some games and story books for the kids. Room to kick a ball around, chickens to visit and dogs to play fetch with. Happy memories. We look forward to coming back again one day.

The setting of this house will take your breath away. You can just gaze at the view or wander endlessly through the gardens. Inside there is everything you need to throw a lavish gourmet dinner party. Sleeping accommodations are just as luxurious as all the other features. And I understand the fishing is quite good.

Kate and Richard are wonderful Hosts and their accommodation is cosy and comfortable. It was great to be able to have our elderly dog with us and to know he was safe. We are elderly as well but enjoyed good flat access. Our only concern being the step into shower so it was a great surprise to return home one day to find Richard had whipped up a great step which solved the problem. Thankyou Richard and Kate, you have a lovely place and are great hosts.
