Recently renovated, Eagle's Rest retains the character of a vintage lodge but with all the comforts of a well-equipped retreat. Look out on a spring-fed pond or relax with a good book on a porch rocking chair. Or listen to the babbling creek from your hammock. In the evening you can enjoy a dip in your hot tub or roast marshmallows in the fire pit before a good night's sleep in your comfortable beds. Satellite flat screen TV with 200+ channels and satellite Wi-Fi internet can keep you in touch with the world. (But only when you want to be.) Great Cabin and Location

My family really enjoyed this cabin for the week. Plenty of space for all of us, especially with all the rain we had. We enjoyed the view of the pond with our morning coffee and hot tub in the evenings. We would like to come and visit again some time.

Enjoyed our stay, excellent location, quiet, loved sitting on the porch watching the fish jump in the little pond. Found an electric keyboard in the closet which we used to sing with, never once turned on the tv!

Excellent stay!

We loved our week at the Eagle’s Rest! The quiet secluded location was great. Our 3-year-old loved playing around the yard and the pond, and climbing on the rocks. In the evenings we enjoyed the fire pit, and the hot tub after the kids went to bed. Everything was clean, and the host provided a lot of nice little things. The kitchen was well stocked, laundry detergent, firewood and a lighter, and toys/games/puzzles for entertainment, even some fishing rods for the pond. We actually thought it was bigger than it looked in the pictures, which was a pleasant surprise.

Great location, not great beds

The cabin was great! Location was good and property was beautiful. The beds were seriously lacking in the size and comfort level. Just old and worn out. Wished there were more towels but other than that the cabin was stocked well. Communication with the manager was excellent! Overall a nice stay.

Quiet log cabin in the woods

This house had a well appointed kitchen and was located in a lovely setting in the woods with a large front porch overlooking a medium sized fishing pond. Very unique. The house was very comfortable overall. We had some initial housekeeping issues upon arrival - but the host reached out to me and worked to resolve them immediately.

Very Relaxing

The house was a beautiful location. It was also well equipped for cooking. The tub upstairs is raised about 2 feet. It was a little challenging getting out with wet feet. The downstairs shower had very easy entry! Great addition!

Girls reunion trip

We had a great time and loved the location. The appliances are needing to be fixed in the kitchen. The dishwasher was really unstable. The glass rack kept falling off and the whole unit looked like it was going to fall out. The refrigerator needs tlc too. The jacuzzi was great. We wanted to watch a scary movie and the remotes didn’t have batteries. I bought some. Minor issues because the property is really beautiful and we really had an awesome time.

Cute cabin

Cute cabin near several locations of our interest. Pretty property and pond. We loved sitting on the front porch in the mornings drinking coffee. Didn't get to enjoy the hot tub the first night because it was only on 80° so wish that would have already been turned on for us but it works well. Things were comfortable and the downstairs shower is much newer and nicer than the one upstairs that's old and chipped. We had to clean out the Keurig, it was pretty dingy but overall had everything else that we needed. I've been to a lot of these places and it was definitely not a super host with all the small little extras that are not completely necessary but nice to have, but it definitely meant our purpose for coming and was a relaxing place to enjoy. It is somewhere where I would visit again.

No Respect

This would have been a great vacation spot except for being woke up by someone cutting down s tree right in front of the property at 8am. We had a long day/evening on July 4th and could not understand why someone would be on the property early next morning running a chain saw. I tried to call the owner but cell phone service was too poor. I also tried to use the WiFi but it was poor too and would not allow for phone use either. I made contact with the owner later in the morning to be told sorry. This is not cool when you pay extra for the holiday period and you pick the property to receive peace and quiet.

Exquisite!

The owner was really great to work with. He always responded quickly and gave me a military discount. The house really felt like a home. It truly had everything we needed and so much more. Our children loved the pond and caught many fish and we all enjoyed the hot tub and that wonderful porch. The home itself inspired us to one day build our own log cabin and I fell in love with the floors and the organic sounds of the house. Our small family from GA and my brother's samll family from NY met here and we all really and truly loved this home. We now plan to meet once a year at this very house for a family get away. It was only 20 minutes away from the Mother Earth News Fair with no traffic and truly a beautiful dive. We all loved this rental and the owners had thought of everything. We were however, able to leave the place a tiny bit better than we found it; we found a missing puzzel piece out in the yard and put it back in it's rightful place in the puzzel :) We'll be back!!! LOVED it!!

Relaxing Getaway

We loved staying at the Eagles Rest for our annual friends getaway. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. We loved the comfy couches and the huge fire pit. Very easy to get to downtown Hendersonville.

Excellent Stay

This cabin was an amazing find and the owner was great to work with the entire time. It was very well-appointed, clean and comfortable and had lots of great info on things to do and see around town. It was in a very convenient location and easily accessible by a paved road. Also less than 15 minutes from an Ingles in case you forget anything and the WiFi was strong. We really enjoyed our time here and would absolutely rent again!

As much as I would like to keep this property a secret Richard deserves all the business he can get! We enjoyed our getaway so much. This property has everything you could want, from fishing to local dining nobody could be disappointed with a trip to the eagles rest!

Great getaway spot for families!

Our family stayed at this cabin for a couple of days during spring break week. We had an amazing time at the cabin. There were many things for our kids to do, games, puzzles and toys. they loved the fire pit and pond out front, and the porch was perfect for sitting and enjoying. The cabin was very clean and had many thoughtful touches. We loved the hot tub at night. One of the best surprises was how well appointed the kitchen was. We cooked most of our meals and had everything we needed! We will be back again in the fall!

Perfect Getaway

We visited the area for a weekend getaway and trip to the Biltmore Estate. The lodge is absolutely perfect! It's far enough away from town that it's incredibly peaceful but close enough that it was no trouble getting to restaurants or the store. So many extras are included in this rental and it is very charming. We are already talking about a trip back!

Great mountain escape

We loved the quiet, wooded location. The cabin has everything you would need. Love the beautiful rustic look and my kids loved playing on the property and skipping rocks in the pond.
